As mentioned, they are seperate systems from the OEM heat system. I believe both have a chart that shows the BTU, output, and what temps it will hold verses a ambient (outside) temperature.
If I remember correctly, they indicated these numbers against different square feet of space you are...
Have you looked a Midwest Specialty Sleepers. Bob Caldwell sells these and Bentz. Number is on EO home page.
Alot of local van conversion places might be of help as some are reasonably priced. Should be something local in your area.
Alot of times these conversion places do conversions for...

It appears that he is venting rather than looking for answers or a solution.
Sometimes that can happen.
We can only offer what help we can.

We use jewelers rouge. Must be put on by hand. Also to stall contamination and prolong the results, we cut several ounces of Rainex with it. Mix in a quart container filling the remainder with distilled water.
Apply with a brush if doing diamond plate and buff dry. Excellent long lasting...
RE: Revenue Potential of Tractor vs. Straight Truc
Alot of excellent posts. Many trucks are built without the tag or pusher and added later to avoid FET tax. A one year waiting period is what is needed. You have to weigh up the difference as to whether you will generate enough income to offset...
I believe it is an expected evil if you are running a van. The amount of trucks your company has in Detroit may be an issue as well. You should mention your company as there may be another driver that can assist you. Many times the grass isn't always greener.
To answer your...
It sounds like it is idling at too low of RPM. It probably needs to be a little higher. This was a common problem on some M2's. You can buy a device to raise and lower your idle manually, or you will have to have the dealer adjust your computer.

At this years Expo, I checked out Broompilots system and am going to test it on a truck and see how it performs. I thought it was a neat trouble free tool.
With high fuel costs, drivers need to watch tire pressure as frequently as possible.
One week of low tire pressure on a few tires can cost...
You said he should pay for dead head back home ( we plan to stay out 3-4 weeks then home for 5-6 days.
we also would want an automatic and probably an 84inch sleeper, also if we decide to pay the fuel we would want a generator because at a eo workshop they said when idling you burn 1 gal. of...

I'm a Newbie contracted to Panther II. So far I am satisfied with them. I wish you guys would let me know perzactly how PII is going to screw me so I can watch out!!
Thanks.
Hundreds are waiting on that exact answer.
Funny how I think it is not likely to materialize.
But if it...

Id get a lawyer and sue them for breech of contract, verbal and other wise. I need to stress this again that you are contracted by a carrier and not an employee!
What else can be said?
You are entitled to your opinion even if it is totally without merit.
With regards to the...
Broompilots post is right on target. One has to look at ALL of the costs and time before making a decision.
I personally use many brokers, so a service of this type may or may not be of use. I can assure you however, we aren't hauling anything cheap.
While it may not be suitable for my own...

but to accuse Panther of ripping people off would be better believed if you would put actual facts down.
That won't happen because he has no facts. As with any company, if you are deciding what loads to take or not take, how are they ripping you off?
If one company was so...
I would agree. If it is the base price, it is to high.
$80,000 would be the highest I would consider.
Same truck but a 2006, around $85,000
Of course, add for generator or any other signifacant options.

For companies that rely on owner operators, it would be a tough sell because most owner operators don't have large cash reserves to put up front. However, there are some that invest in a fleet program.
The example of BarrNunn is a good example.
It is the same thing with the large carriers.

I would agree with Rich if it was a forced dispatch or a employee situation.
That is why I say to review the load prior to accepting it. If the milage is off, request a adjustment at that time or simply refuse the run. We have only had a few occassions were the milage was off. In those cases...
I agree, Mr Fedex:7 is correct in that you need ALL of the information rather than just a small part of it. Just that singular item of fleet size has little value.
