    resleeved cat motr maintenance

Yes. They can rebuilt them now. Cheaper than replacing. However, if your turbo blows and the fins go into the engine, forget about it. We had a Fl 70 rebuilt. Engine must be pulled to get to the back cylinders. Cylinder walls can't be too damaged for this type of rebuild. The original engine...

Panther ii Has 500 Trucks Refusing To Work?

Gregg As posted in a earlier thread; There are people at Panther that own trucks, but they are not in dispatch. The number in relation to their fleet size is very small. Dispatching from three offices would also complicate matters. You are spot on with your comments. To administer billing and...

    resleeved cat motr maintenance

I am assuming a typo on the number. I think you are talking about a 3126B? If so, I would replace oil @ 5000 miles and have the oil tested. Repeat another 10,000 miles later. This will ensure the rebuild and sleeves were done properly. You will give up alittle in displacement but that is about...

I believe it. Our trucks have been running hard. Usually running out of hours and needing to stop to get a 34 hour reset. Davekc

    Panther II Questions

You should do fine. Will you sit? At different times but more likely after the first of the year. I don't believe they do road tests on straight trucks. Davekc

    found o/o ready to go

Depending on the sleeper, can be alittle tight to team in. Outside of that, usually very durable trucks as long as it has been maintained. Good luck. Davekc

    99 fl70 5.9 cummins

Loss of power can come from several things. I am assuming they tested the pump already to determine the problem. If not, have it pressure tested before removal. If the check engine light went off, it could indeed be the pump or the sending unit.If the truck is older and has any rubber hoses with...

With the rising price of fuel....

The $3,000 price might be for a sprintergen. That is expensive but also has air conditioning. That is why there is a difference. The espar is heat only. Davekc

    biodiesel and powerstrokes

Good post. If using, I would highly recommend carry spare fuel filters and the tools to replace them. As mentioned, clogged filters are a common occurance when first used or in colder weather. Davekc

    sprinters egr valves

When at the dealer, ask for a recall list as mentioned. Additionally, ask for all the service bulletins. They will have information on ongoing defects that may not have made a recall list. This list will also include parts that may have been updated or changed. We had problems with a truck four...

Panther ii Has 500 Trucks Refusing To Work?

To my knowledge, EO is not distributing email addresses of its members to any other sources. With regards to Panther, it likely was a negative experience if you were attempting to buy a truck from them, since they are not a dealer or in the business of selling trucks. It is news to me that...

    Need Advice

Not a tax expert, but I believe the owner is not required to issue a 1099 until Jan 31st. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. It is still pretty cold that your owner suddenly disappeared. If the company already paid him, it sounds like you need to go to court. Of course from FL, that is not...

Revenue Potential of Tractor vs. Straight Truck

RE: Revenue Potential of Tractor vs. Straight Truc You are correct in that you would pay a sales tax. In addition, you likely will have a state charge because the vehicle is being reclassified. My understanding is with waiting a year, you aren't paying the FET tax. I don't believe you can...
