    How Detroit went broke

Then you KNOW what is USED to be, and how FAST it went away. I KNEW miners, salt miners, who live in River Rouge, in the early '60's, and what happened to the area they lived in. I REMEMBER, Ecorse and Inkster, when they were GOOD places to live, same with much of Taylor. I played at the...

    How Detroit went broke

Young was the least stupid of the stupid leaders of Detroit. He still sucked. I am old enough to remember Detroit BEFORE Young.

    A "hero"?

FDCC drivers HAVE to BY LAW, attend "Blow and Glow" classes every so often. Mrs. Layoutshooter and I just completed, and passed, such a class on Friday. FedEx makes sure that we know what we should do in such cases. We are grateful for that training. Yes, it's boring. Yes, it's repetitive...

    How Detroit went broke

Detroit went broke, due to LiBeRaL economics, unions and total stupidity. You cannot spend money that you don't have. THAT is how Detroit went broke. They borrowed against an uncertain future. They lost.

Gov. Rick Perry discusses crisis at US-Mexico border.

Obama's very public use of certain "executive orders" made it quite clear that the United States was not going to return "children" and other "migrants" to their home countries. Human traffices know this. The obvious lack of enforcement, on the part of the United States, as ordered by Obama...

They are not "fleeing" anything, they are being encouraged to come here.

The greatest threat is the threat to this Nation that is caused by NOT controlling our borders.

What Country best fits your personality?

I got New Zealand. I would love to visit there, I could NEVER live there. There were a LOT of very goofy questions/choices, as per normal for these things.

    A "hero"?

Gasoline does not generate it's own heat, organic peroxides do. 50F if I remember correctly. We have not carried it for several years. I also believe that there are different temps for each product. Organic peroxide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    A "hero"?

One of the most overused words these days. Monitoring you TCU while under load is a required part of being in the temp contol business. That driver upheld his responsibility. We have carried that product in the past. Nasty stuff. NOT the worse stuff we have had on the truck, but getting up there.

    Say Hi to July

Finished our "Glow and Blow" class, both Mrs. Layout and I got 100% on the test, like that was hard. Now we are home for the weekend. Back at it on Monday morning.

    Does Your Dispatcher Speak English?

An employer, regardless of what the feds want to demand, has the right to hire the most qualified person for the job. It is also the right for that employer to determine what those qualifications are. IF that employer determines, for what ever reason, that being able to read, write and speak...

    Say Hi to July

The equipment that they were using yesterday would cost me a FORTUNE. From what I saw replacing a spindle is not a job for this guy. It took that guy, who does it for a living several hours to put that spindle in place. WAY over my head. What's a truck?

There is nothing more boring than sitting at a repair shop. I can promise you that once I am out of this business that is ONE thing that I would NEVER miss!

    Say Hi to July

Yeah, it was the only place open when I got down there and I was HOPING to salvage the two runs I was dispatched on. THAT did not work, I was there 38 hours. That is why we decided to take off the rest of the week, get that class in, and not have to take off MORE time in Aug.

    Say Hi to July

It started off at 2.6K, they reworked the bill several times, I had a $20 coupon for all oil changes and $200 worth of PM credits that I used. They were really good about wringing out some of that bill, I was surprised with that. Hope the work holds up. I now have all new brakes, both seals...

    The Global Warming Hoax.

I agree with most of what this guy says, EXCEPT the hydro power part. Destroying river eco systems and entire fish populations is in no way good for the environment. There are better alternatives out there that cause less damage. I LOVE the tree part, nothing better for increasing oxygen and...
