He said 23,000 gross. It’s an under CDL truck. I would hope he knows the difference., Once running some FEMA a shipper was putting 18,000 pounds on under CDL reefers. Until a non CDL driver flipped one. They quickly transitioned over to DR units. Which they then reduced the loads.

I have a similar opinion. Except when the stuff on the plane malfunctions there won’t be a red light in view or vehicles on either side, 36 inches away. How do you keep the safety driver awake and focused ?

Greasy or Hino123. Any comments on the 150,000 miles per year ? Do you see many high mileage units ? Are they better or worse than the competition ?

150,000 miles per year, to me, is not medium duty useage. I drove a lot of Hinos, on and off a semi trailer. Most probably had 7 miles on them. They’ll be smarter people than me to tell you if they’re tolerable after 400,000 miles. Or even useable.

They are the way to go. Go broke & Go crazy. Actually Hino makes a decent product if you buy one appropriately spec’d for your application. Where are you going to run ? How many miles per year ? What will your gross weight be ?

And we appreciate your efforts. I know you have a sense of humor because you tolerated Fastman.

Double the mileage ? If I move 3 skids for .18 a mile fuel, and the dude parked next to me just moved 6 skids for .18 a mile for fuel, hasn’t he achieved the same result ?

I was leased to a carrier that allowed us to pull other freight. It had to be billed through them, and they took a cut.

Being decaled, they can probably but limitations on other hauls, including taking some compensation. One of our two John’s can speak authoritatively on this.

They’re selling well in the US. If it’s spec’d to suit your needs,I’d say go for it.
