    Money to some, is not suitable money to others. Do you have a business plan ? A Sprinter now, or one lined up ? Access to a good experienced driver, or do you have to find one ? What kind of money do you have to invest and what do you feel is a good ROI ?

    I would expect the carrier to return the 145 lb crate at his expense, unless the shipper would allow us to deliver somewhere that could benefit some of us involved.     It’s a catch 22. We want the unscrupulous to be caught, but don’t watch us Honest folks. Kind of similar to the ELD argument. I always ran legal, but can’t function on an ELD.

    Every time a shipper or broker gets 3500/4000 into a van, the closer it gets to being the norm. Seriously, how often do people get caught ? They should, they don’t. Right now there’s enough freight for everyone. My fear would be the next slowdown. Who’ll get loaded then ?

    I can see brokers selling a straight truck load and trying to get a Sprinter to take it for a few cents extra over a Sprinter rate. Cha Ching !!!! The line between a van and a straight is only blurred by 4-6 pallet Sprinters.

    Right before I retired I bought a tool to detect noises. An electronic stethoscope of sorts. You put on headphones wand point it around looking for air leaks, etc. maybe called a Whistler ? Less than $200 at Zoro.com under instruments I believe. I bought it to detect inaudible air leaks. UTube...
