Not sure what makes up a high performance Transit, but was it a high top diesel?
Actual fuel/miles calculated or dash read out?
Best I've ever been able to get in my diesel Sprinter was in the 28 's with a lot of rear end wind help
Could be a one time anomaly, if the driver maintains that rate, that would be impressive.

That’s not a Transit, that’s a Transit Connect! Totally different vehicle. In that, I’m sure he did get that mileage.
Transit’s are all six cylinders and if anyone tells you they’re getting over 20 they’re dreaming.
