In this case the VNT controller went bad. I'm not sure if anyone rebuilds them reliably. The few I've seen inevitably fail.

I just had a thought. Even if the scv was totally dead, it should still make fuel pressure. The scv is wide open with no power to it. If there was no fuel flow/pressure and the pump has an uninterrupted fuel supply, then it has to be a faulty pump vs an scv.

Glad you sorted it out. The troubleshooting suggests it's a circuit code, but it seems to be a performance code instead.

The firewall junction box is a water magnet, might want to check inside. The troubleshooting is quick to blame the ECU, but I've never had to replace one. In my experience it's always something else. Just an idea, you could run an overlay to the scv and see if that fixes it.

I wouldn't trust the troubleshooting 100%. Verify that you're on the right pins. I would load test the wiring vs. a continuity check. Multimeters lie. It's saying you're looking for a pulse wave of 0-12v. The SCV is pulse width modulated. Ideally you'd use an oscilloscope.

Coalminer is exactly right. I'd like to add that the low coolant level alarm is probably not related. There are plenty of reasons why the low coolant alarm can go off. Here are some examples. They are prone to leak at hose connections when it's cold. Especially the hose clamp on the coolant...

They are on the left side of the engine, top of the cylinder head, among the fuel lines. Two up front and two in the back.

It should, yes. That's the big mystery here. I would want confirmation that it's set a P0045 before committing to turbo replacement.

Awesome. 2015-later trucks have far fewer regen problems, thankfully this one was easy to sort out.

If it was driven for any period of time with no oil pressure you might want to check a few bearings while you're in there

Sure thing. Curious, which port did you have jpro hooked to? To access the engine ECU you use the 16 pin connector.

You cannot access the engine ECU from the 9 pin. Use the 16 pin.

They are right about the ignition and key, there are no security system components. Super weird problem you have here. Do you have a gps or eld or anything like that wired up? Water in the firewall junction box can cause havoc. 2007s have bolt on covers, but water can still get in from...
