If the in store sales aren't making a profit as planned then the discount is useless...20-25 cents is absurd for a corporation to hand out when they are losing that much...those shareholders should be screaming...

Their in store sales haven't increased like expected, they actually dropped just a bit...if the discounts were to lure drivers to fuel up and then buy something, the strategy hasn't worked. The discounts will be cut back to compensate I would imagine.

You notice the prices drop 10-20 cents a gallon once you get 10 miles off the interstate system....the TS are playing to a captive audience...I use Speedway, Exxon or BP...better quality fuel anyways for the most part..

The joy ride might be over sooner then later...TA is losing money hand over fist according to the latest financial report... The discount is killing them...lost something like 10 million on fuel profits alone... from press release... the discounts boosted sales but hurt the bottomline...

No other source, just my own conclusions....and my opinion... how can one be so blind as not to see what all this is leading up to...the US and others have stalled a world confrontation for awhile now....and look economically where the world is... You hit it on the nose...profit in conflict....
