Some good feedback here and angles I hadn't thought of... So there is a consensus that the fleet owner has a beneficial use..to new and older drivers alike... Good news for once for the fleet owner...that we seem to be ripping apart in here...:)

I suppose for the bigger trucks, fleets are a starting point for a lot of folks, just to test the waters...

Maybe that would be a good thing....not saying anything personal....But this takes commitment and stick to itness...Maybe there would not be so many in this business and no swamp of trucks...

Might never have, is debatable....you had all the information you needed up to a point without actually getting behind the wheel for first hand knowledge...I suspect you still would have taken the plunge.... So...do we really need these diving boards?

What if there were no fleet owners, no fleets... in your best guess...would we single owner operators be better off without fleets? or worse off....

It is very hard to manage a Sprinter on CV rates only...the added maintance costs will zap your bottom line..you need to find a carrier that will pay for the extras that you carry...

I have no doubt they are out there... But this I put to you.... Do you want to run the miles for the sake of just moving? or do you want to run for the money? ...because right now there is no having it both ways....it just ain't out there...

So the Japan thing was months ago...and all the news from Honda and Toyota last month was full production by late Sept to Oct......where the heck they come up with the August bump? Do they break it down by truck size? I imagine not... I am questioning the "experts" not you or Load...

A microwave one of them small 49-69$ ones from Wally World will save ya a bundle...there is a good selection of prepared foods in store now....the plus is making your own coffee without the trudge inside and the long lines...LOL

I don't know who makes these darned "projections" ...but my bones tell me bull crap....I don't see any bump till the last half of September till Christmas.....Do they break these "projections" down by truck size even? The experts E-1 uses said August would be a bump month too...:eek:

The straights seem to be hopping well..sprinters still not so much....still a matter of right place, right time...
