That is the thing...Carriers by the way they are going, are turning this into a second income opportunity situation...a working wife, some kind of pension...there is no room for kids, a college fund, a mortgage....

It would appear John E is the only company executive that believes the customer should pay a fair price....BUT he can't keep this up forever....none of the other carriers support this way to do business...

if you are not running ya can't get shower credits...BUT 1 could hop on the Ohio TP and for the cost of 1 interchange get a "Free" shower... OR hang around machine and beg for that extra shower credit...

The best plan I can think of ...buy a cheap CV and run the guts out of it for as long as you can...keep the PM down, don't invest a lot of $$$$ into it and then dump it after 3-4 yrs and start all over....that is what carriers seem to want...... seems that is what Gibbs will be doing....a team...

If one takes off the blinders...and if you disregard Panthers silly rules...the Panther rate is looking pretty good now....

You are correct....but I submit....if a business changes so much one can not make a living at it anymore...maybe it is time for a career change?... I quit smoking for my health not because of the business....I am pretty much a part timer out here now....my needs are a lot fewer then 10 yrs...

Unfortunately there is a side of me that agrees with MrGibbs... When a monster comes into town say Walmart and disturbs the order...what do other small businesses do?.....The monster is NOT going to just go away....ma and pa will just have to dump some employees and work more of the hours...
