Bottomline...they can do whatever they want pretty well with immunity... I mean I can't see them pulling that crap alot....The regs just give them the leeway to do thier jobs of protecting the border without having to get search warrants. In which case you might be well be there even longer.

yep..more Bolt , more E-1 and especially tri-state since this year they have the Caterpillar contract...and if 3 state can't hold onto it, the pendulum will swing to another carrier.... Losing the one Cat is part reason why other cats are having a hard time...

Sub-contractor.....comes to mind...totally indepentent as the owner....contracting out thier driving skills. Think of a construction site...where a bulder holds the main contract....and they in turn sub-contract to specific skills. Each offering thier services at a negotiated rate.

Seriously though I always thought they could do this as they have almost unlimited power...Your literally at thier mercy...anything goes, all rights are suspended...all in the name of security...But as some would say if your not hiding anything why worry about it....just let them evesdrop, have...

You usually speak clearer Charles...that was confusing but point made again and again and again.... Any how..I sign a contract with a carrier that will find me frieght at the rate that I need to run my business or agreed apon rate...THEY work for me...I work for them...The customer whether...

Unfortunately Cheri there is some challenged drivers out there..they are sold a bill of goods by doubling thier income and they fall for it....some still do well or seems like it because they are also driving 25% less time...and it FEELS like more...till Momma counts the cash that is....

and the trend of some fleet owners wanting to go to team operation and putting non related or strangers in the same truck under the guise that the driver will make more money? Well that'll backfire when said driver realizes they just got a pay cut... Example...solo goes team---truck makes 50%...
