apparently...I don't give specific numbers out....they are MY numbers and have no reference to what anyone else's needs are...I make 80% of line haul because I wait to get paid hence the higher %. My carrier doesn't have the expense of paying for a line of credit surcharge from the bank to cover...

high intensity lights have been known to have a shorter life span...while they give you extra light there is a cost....I don't use them...just for that fact I find the light given by my OEM are sufficient especially with new headlights...

You are a heck of a nice guy John and I believe you believe in what you say but....all while PTL is in the middle of redoing contracts for a .05 rate reduction in the CV market....thats some support right there....is your staff taking a rate cut across the board, as well?.....

EPO also has 2 that I know large 3PL's....Bounce and CGL....and they own NLM...they don't really need to run thier own vans...they could easily cut them all lose....

the direction this industry is going I can see large carriers becoming more or less extinct..with 3pls, 4 pls and brokers taking over....there just isn't the margins of profits to support the O/O and a carrier too....

and if the other 3-5 other large carriers complied....IMO that would just inspire even more O/O's to go rogue/on thier own and forsake the bigger carriers with expensive insurance?....

that won't happen till more like a whole bunch more say NO to these brokers...

sorry if I chuckle a little John...."really don't"? I'd say they just plain old don't have any period... its hard to believe a larger type carrier would expose themselves to that risk...

I.... like you, pay my share of gold to CIS as well.... I am just doing a bit of investigative work here....why 1 carrier thinks they are correct and then they state 3-5 of the top carriers are not complaint but have been in this business twice even 3 times longer then another one...

so what you are saying really..they are under insured?....So out of say the top 10 larger type carriers...30-40% are under insured?....and not even including smaller type carriers... doesn't DOT do audits on this issue?...or they just do HOS issues?....

well they appear to have insurance...but either not enough or wrong kind...according to a reliable source...who appears to be outnumbered by other respectable carriers....
