Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

:) For why? The whole attraction of under 10000 is thumbing my nose at the scales on the way by...think DOT would assume it looks like a box van and I need to scale? Even if a gas van came to 6000 lbs it would leave me plenty to play with at the 9600 gvw...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Wait, you don't mean the Transit based, do you? I have no idea how you guys with big payments do it, tried that 10 years ago, drove a million miles on that van to make it worth it...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

17 would be nice! Thanks, this is exactly what I need to know. Right now I'm practicing my restraint, i'm stuck in a natural gas van with very few options to refuel...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

I know I'm the only weirdo. Cleaned up, I'm asking what the best type of gas large single rear wheel van is and what I can expect while deadheading for mpg...looking at a 2010 Ford Aerocell but 4.59 gear ratio scares me...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Ok no responses, so while searching I found the "sprinter wannabe" thread with some good info...I'm the type to fix stuff at the side of the road rather than wait for a tow or mechanic to have time for me, so "sprinter wannabe" is what I'll be. What I need to know: Ford or Chevy bubble van, and...

Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

Ready to replace my 2003 Dodge Ram Van 3500 :) I've been spoiled paying 0.94 cents a gallon for CNG, but without going thru Buffalo every day I'm not saving anything at prices between 1.50 and 3.20 for natural gas. Carrier has no year rules on vans so I've been picking up CNG vans with less...

How do I beat the heat?

Second the fantastic fan and side window install. If it rains I reverse the flow (windows have rain guards) and a second portable fantastic fan for spot cooling...two 12v walmart hybrid deep cycles power both about 18 hours and charge off my starting battery. Good for 95+ degrees and humid

How did you get Started in Expediting ?

After a particularly drunken after work party I was apparently seen with a lady that was not my girlfriend...can't confirm this as I blacked out, sought to deliver my "package" as far out of harms way as possible, so I quit an hour into my next shift and signed the dotted line on an Alumi-Bunk...

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

So I get the feeling the answer to my original post would mostly be the lack of filling stations - that's fair, but personally I got so angry at the games at the pumps I swore I'd outsmart them or park it and sling fries at mcdonalds

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

It is nice, as far as the cng system goes I've put about 250,000 miles on with zero maintenance or problems

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

There's a station whether you cross at Buffalo or Lewiston, one in Westfield, one in Cleveland, and one in St Catharines but 0.75 a litre is too rich for my blood

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

That's why I run natural gas and not propane, I paid 1.01 a gallon all last year and it spiked up to 1.34 this year...tax in Rising_cow it came with wire wound fibreglas tanks, the large add on tank was steel out of a ford, and as for the switch, the only switch is off when you run out of...

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

Yes the tank is bagged and vented. I had the work done by a shop, Kiff Auto, the last shop I'm aware of near me that is certified to do conversions...I guess lack of shops would be another reason but chevy/gmc and dodge dealers are supposed to service their factory cng vehicles...I would love...

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

OVM, dodge van came factory with 4 tanks underside and I added a 5.5 foot 12" dia. Behind the seats...built my bunk over that but had 8 feet of cargo space otherwwise...565 km or 350 miles depending on your state of mind :) As for weight, van was 4100 stock 5800 with full tanks

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

I knew that was coming...anyway I saved $15000 in fuel last year, being a cng only van, I'm on a route right now but everybody knows most cng vehicles are gasoline/cng both... Don't they?

Why don't more of you run natural gas?

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering why more of you don't run this cheap fuel. I'd like to be able to buy a newer (than 2001) vehicle but with no demand there are very few used vans to choose from....
