    HammerNight

Many of us have met you in person and know you to be as helpful in person, as you are to this site. Remember the Expo and my laptop problems? I look forward to the day when our paths cross again. Thanks for all you to do for the expediting industry.

    Interesting Facts...

Just reread these marvelous tidbits of absolutely indispensable information. It says: " Marilyn Monroe had six(6)toes". If thats the case, then I should be just as famous as she: I've got TEN toes!!! (Also, I'm alive, and this claim can be easily verifiied.):7

    internet

I have had the Sprint Air Card since May and Have been pleased with it. The "card" has it's own phone number and operates on the same priciples, as your cell phone: If you have a signal, you've got service. The up-front cost is kind of steep, but, in my opinion, well worth it.

    Demo's vs: US Military

Mornin' Teacel! I was going to leave this one alone, but a quote came to mind: "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt." I wish I could remember the person that originally said it.

Does anyone have information regarding sevice/repairs on the Pro-Heat generator, in the Detroit area? As usual, thanks in advance for you replies.

    Power Inverters

Is there a source, other than "let's rape the drivers" truck stops, to purchase truck equipment? Specifically, I want to purchase a 1750-2000 watt inverter. As usual, thanks for your replies.

    Just curious...

As some of you may remember, I have attempted to sell/lease my 2001, FL-70, a couple of times. I would like to ask if anyone has actually bought, or sold, a truck, on this website? As it says: Just curious.:) :)

Anyone using the new WiFi system yet?

I got the Sprint Air Card back in May and have been extremely satisfied with the system, if you have a signal, you can get on the internet. The air card is expensive, but, to me, it has been well worth the investment. It is very calming, at the end of a hard run, to kick back in the cab of the...

    Express Center Information

I continue to be fascinated by the on-going complaints concerning some companies attempts to keep their o/o's from getting ANY info about what might be going on, at a particular time, that directly impacts a o/o's decision making. It makes me even more grateful for the amount of info that LEA...

    Interesting Facts...

As I sit on the balcony of our hotel, over looking the calm Atlantic ocean, I was shocked to find that I really DON'T know it all. As you can imagine, this came as quite a surprise. Thanks for all of these tidbits of info that I can use to dazzle my wife, when she wakes up. Well, time for more...

    cell phone ????

As mentioned, you will get a lot of differing opinions as to which cellular service is the "best". I've had AT&T "One Rate" for a little over four(4) years and have been very happy with not only the phone service, but also with the customer service(!!!). As for connecting to the internet: I...

    Okay, now what??

Again, Weave, you nailed the primary "event" that triggers the noise: Applying power, particularly when going up hill. Sorry to hear that there is really no cure for this problem.

    Okay, now what??

A while back, I posted comments regarding a "noisy" clutch. Well, I've had the clutch replaced(all new, not rebuild), I've replaced the clutch linkage. Still, the noise goes on. The "experts" told me it was the throw-out bearing(s). Obviously, it wasn't. Any suggestions? Thanks for your...

    Going Out Of Business

Just wondering: What is "Gamblers" motive for adding what I guess is supposed to be a scare tactic at the end of his post?

    CLUTCH PEDAL VIBRATION

Noise update!! The clutch is out and services are scheduled for noon tomorrow. It was shot. Also, rear main seal was leaking and had to be replaced; seal where gear shift enters the tranny was leaking; and another seal, of some sort, had to be replaced. The good news: The labor costs are...

    CLUTCH PEDAL VIBRATION

Funny you should ask about this problem on the day AFTER I put my 2001, FL-70, 6 speed in the shop for a new clutch. After asking about a half a dozen mechanics, I started to believe there must really be a problem with the "throw-out bearings" The main symptom was the incesant NOISE!! I...

    Forum participation...or lack of

There was recent posr regarding how each forum member, or guest, par-ticipates in the on going "debate", as it pertains to expediting. I just got home this afternoon, after two and a half weeks on the road. During this period, I don't believe I was in a place where internet access was available...

    Freight Volume

No, it isn't that nasty type that is killing people. Mine is a bacterial form called Streptococcal Pneumonia. I had a vaccination last October that was supposed to prevent this strain of the bacteria, but my doctor says I was one of the 4% that it doesn't protect! Just the luck of an expediter...

    Freight Volume

I've been at home for several weeks with a rather nasty bout with pneumonia: 6 days in the hospital, over $10,000 in medical bills, & off the road for 5 weeks, so far. So, before venturing back out on the road, I thought I would ask "How's it been going?" Especially for "D" units. Thanks for...

    What about CTX ?

In response to moving a pallet: If you can afford it, your best option would be to buy a "pallet puller" & 8' of chain. I think I paid a little over $100 for mine. It's great!;-)
