Actually Fastrod it's we that have the responsiblity to perform our duties....
We have the equipment, we look around and pick what we think is the right carrier....WE sign on aka hire them and pay them a percentage to find us loads and they pass on the balance...if they don't perform we...
oh my..I didn't realize common sense was used.....I thought you just took the paid relocation then whine....There's an unpaid alternative? How novel.
Ohh But I am not moving unless they pay me to move....they said when I sit long enough they'd pay me to go to a better area....I shouldn't have to pay outta my own pocket....I am NOT moving till they pay me to....Its MY money and I want it now!
That said.....I totally disclaim the above statement.
Nice discounts for us small guys....:D

Thats my take on it as well Dave....If dispatch can't do it the first time around they can call on thier own dime not mine....We relay the updated info via QC....
A 3 way call seems a lot of bother...most times we don't need the number but it's good to have...to call ahead and maybe theres a night shift and we can unload early without having to drive there first....All comes down to whats best for the customer then ourselves then our carrier...in that...
You don't get phone numbers? We get both...customers and receivers, except 3rd party loads...and sometime we get them also...Little good sometimes always voice mail....but sometimes comes in real handy...

Steve I was just (maybe wrongly)injecting...what some of my friends...driving a D and a C and 2 at WG have been offered lately...I can't even imagine turning the engine over for a buck ten a mile...unless it takes you where you want to go...
Just pulling your leg:rolleyes:...we did research for a couple years as well.....went with the carrier WE thought had the best Sprinter business, so far been a good choice for us,
then made the jump when I got to be legal down here....
Ha..sorry Linda...we went with the carrier that gave out the best pizza and ice water...if a company knows good pizza, that speaks a 1000 words....*L*
The best way to a mans wallet is thru the stomach still....haha
Don't forget the carrier of choice maybe the consignee's...I've seen that quite a few times....There will be a Fedex van sitting there and I'll say to the shipper Why U use them? he says .. I don't customers request.....
