Ron....Experience...that gut feeling....look at a map and triangulate...pick 3 zips and look around for the units and take your best shot....

Yeah a 2 a day area average does little if 1 customer ships 14 loads on a Tuesday and you get there on Wednesday...LOL

I've changed carriers once down here...and yes I was paid interest....

So how does Panther correlate that an area is say a 3 load a day area? Does the computer put it all together after a months performance? weekly? and make adjustments..

Even NA slop buckets require a certain level of care...but if you make a mistake they are easier to recover from...

Catastrophic?.....if it was your house or your business that got washed away...it would be catastrophic to you.... Many businesses still have no power, they'll be cleaning up and NOT producing... Some employees will lose hours of work....which will effect the spending power...even the lose of 1...

That is why we Sprinter owners can not stress enough...a Sprinter is NOT an entry level vehicle...It takes a very special type of person, mentality to properly care for one....if you want to drive the crap out of a van and just be a driver....get a North American slop bucket...they last...

With the last down turn, I would imagine we've lost many a cargo van and they've been replaced with newbees... a fact is some customers require a certain number of trucks in a fleet to maintain service levels....if a carrier drops below that number, they risk competition coming in and taking...
