How many of you are using U Ship for return loads?

Talked to a guy in VA a few days ago who says that's all he does. Used to expedite, but switched to U-ship, says he's doing pretty good.

    who is slow

Pretty busy the last week. Milwaukee-South Carolina, Virginia to California... Now if I can just get a load out. Bid on a couple loads out so far but don't think I got them, though.

    Will the D-12 defend this?

I'm sure they're more likely to take what you say at face value and believe it uncritically. The things you say are on the video aren't there; you're assuming them from what you can see.

    Will the D-12 defend this?

Supposition. Or when cop chose to assault the victim. No telling at this point. The victim's head is visible only briefly on the video, and and it isn't clear what happened on the ground. The only thing that's clear on the video is the cop grabbed a guy and struck him repeatedly. We could...

Carrier/customer. That's my understanding, but it wasn't said in so many words.

    Will the D-12 defend this?

There are many, many examples of rampaging cops intimidating people into surrendering their camera equipment and deleting their photos. Here's actually a mild example: Photography Is Not A Crime: Coral Gables Police Delete Ladies Images And then there are states in which the state claims...

iPad, Droid pad, or Droid phone?

Not for a while. The last pair I enjoyed watching was Tom Baker and Sarah. I've never warmed up to any of the successors. "Back off, or I'll kill him with this deadly Jelly Baby." "Go ahead, kill him." "I don't take orders from anybody." (pops Jelly Baby in his mouth and eats it)

I think it's the same with all of them. If you're going to stop while on a load because of ice, you have to state specifically, "It is unsafe to continue." I was on an NLM load like that one time, and the dispatcher said I had to state that specifically. It's in the contract that a load isn't...

That's how I feel. I don't mind some snow, but ice...that's a different story. I'm not like some of these crazy guys who go like a bat out of hell. 70 is as fast as I'll go on ice.

iPad, Droid pad, or Droid phone?

Truly simultaneous voice and data is network dependent. Last I heard, only the Evil Empire could do that.

    Will the D-12 defend this?

Ah, I was wondering how long it would take the State-worshipers to show up. So anything less doesn't constitute a beating? So you wouldn't mind someone doing it to you, if, after all, it isn't a beating? Actually, it's called an Asp. And so the bloody mouth came from where? And you can't tell...

Like nightcreacher said, you can only control what you do. What the other guy can or can't control, well, that's going to affect you, too. That's why I'm debating staying and waiting on a load, holing up, or bugging out.

That's the situation in which I find myself now. I delivered near Charleston, SC a few hours ago, and I'm debating whether or not to bug out ahead of the mess that's rolling in tomorrow night into Monday or hole up in a motel, or what... Oh, for a crystal ball.

Oh, I did that. But it sure sucked. And sometimes, I'm wanting the info to decide if I'll zig over a different route instead of zag. So I do work with what I've got...just frustrated that I can't get more accurate info.

iPad, Droid pad, or Droid phone?

This time of year, weather plays a big role in choosing whether or not to take a load to a given place. Being with small carriers, we don't have a Qualcomm (Side note: why do so many people insist on pronouncing it "quail-com?"); I get my bid offers over the phone, and one of my companies is...

Of varying elderly-ness. The ones about coming out of the gorge were pretty timely, and the ones about 64 between Louisville and Lexington were fairly timely, though that appeared to be very dynamic situation; we heard three different stories about it as we approached Louisville from 3...

Ok, technically, not lies, because they probably thought they were accurate when they said them. It seems it always always always always happens this way. Driving in bad weather, and trying to get south of the freeze line, which seems to be harder and harder to find in recent years (Al Gore...
