I have 2006 1 ton ext. chevy C.V. with 6.0 motor and when under most loads ( 1500 lbs ) with the cruise set at 70 (posted speed limit) I average 17.2 mpg. AT 73mph it drops to about 16.6 mpg. At 60 to 62 mph I would probrably get way over 18 mpg . BUT my foot doesn't like getting...

From reading posts on here for a couple YEARS before going out as owner -OP, You might find an owner that would pay for fuel and tolls BUT my guess is you'll get 35 % of the load pay and that makes for a tight BUDGET for the first months.

Got out laredo Friday afternoon ( 9th ) loaded to Fargo, ND at a very good rate delivering Monday morn. Waited till tuesday noon NO LOADS leaving So dead headed home. :)
