Had 2 calls so far today. One from El Paso to NC and one from El Paso to Windsor ON. Accepted both offers and companies didn't win either of them. At least that means there are 2 less vans waiting to get loaded and out. I'm really learning the idea of patience. In my younger years I could never...

Does that include all the prepaid disposable phones and the Obama phones? LOL

    Quick question...Anyone? Anyone?

OVM, I agree the Sprinter prices are reasonable but after reading about all the expensive repairs that some have encountered leaves me afraid of them. Some of these repairs cost more then the cost of my used van. Love the size and height, just afraid of being put out of business because of a...

Your in a better position then me. I'm 1,700 miles from home, that's 4 tanks of fuel or $400 to go home. If I don't get something today I think I'll move over the weekend. Too many vans sitting here on a Friday.

Longer and taller. More expensive to purchase and maintain.

Woke this morning in El Paso to find 6 CV's, a box van and an expedited straight truck sitting here. Lots of competition sitting here. Wish me luck getting out today. (3 are Panthers)

Why do you not use TA/Petro as your primary truck stop?

How many drivers were on the call? Sorry I couldn't make it, driving in an area with spotty phone service

Made my NM delivery and took 6 hour nap. Now DH to El Paso for 135 miles. Any preferred locations to sit there while waiting for the call? Any truck stops there? This is a new spot for me to go.

    Golden lugnut needs some assistance....

You can be the first truck in Load One's Canadian Division. Just kidding of course. Tried getting on with Load One, their not taking CV's.

ALL STATE Express worst company ever

Remember, the "Big Guys" started small. The weak, poorly managed small companies will go away all by themselves. All companies need to start somewhere!

Just ran the miles. It's about 145 miles to El Paso. That's what I'll do Thursday morning once I'm empty. Thanks guys!

ALL STATE Express worst company ever

With that vehicle and a good attitude you should be able to go to just about any company.

Why do you not use TA/Petro as your primary truck stop?

Had a positive experience at the TA in Hudson WI last Friday. Almost never go to TA/Petro because their card sucks. Needed a shower, no J or Pilot from MSP down to Eau Claire. Went in figuring I was going to pay the $10 for a shower. Told young man behind the counter nicely about my issues with...

LMAO. Yea, sometimes I get lucky, other times not so much. I still want to visit Laredo TX and Ontario CA just to experience what everyone always talks about. But, I don't think I'll ever go to Denver again.

Took a load last night going from Milwaukee to Vanadium NM. Took the 1,700+ mile load because I've never been there. Anyone know what my chances are of getting a CV load coming out of NM?

Denver CO, must be worse then Laredo.

I went from Milwaukee to Las Vegas, then to SLC, took load from SLC to Denver. That's how I got stuck in Denver. It took 2 days to get load out on SLC to Denver. Got tired of Denver in 2 days and just went home. Except for the load to Vegas, it was a bad week. But, Denver and SLC both are bad...

Denver CO, must be worse then Laredo.

I've been stuck in Denver at least 3-4 times. I have never gotten a CV load out of there. I always relocated after a couple of days. I wish you better luck then I've had there. I would call dispatch and ask for a recommendation as to where they felt was your best chance of getting a load.

    Abandoned

I know it's a little different in a CV but I broke down once on a load. It was a 1,300 mile run and I was about 60 miles from consignee's place. Having carrier pay for tow never even crossed my mind. I called AAA for the flatbed tow, explained to the driver what I was doing and convinced the...
