    Crime set to increase.

Freedom means, among other things, the freedom to fail, if that's where your choices take you. You can't eliminate that possibility without taking away everybody's freedom. Are you aware how many rights the War On Drugs has cost everybody? Ron Paul 2012: America's last chance. If Ron Paul...

    Crime set to increase.

Yeah, good thing we won't have to put up with any of that freedom crap. I hate that. Ron Paul 2012: America's last chance. You know the problem with corrupt and abusive cops? They give the other 5% a bad name.

    Is 5 GB enough

5GB is enough for almost anybody. You have to be streaming a lot of video to go over that. I use my devices pretty much all day when I'm sitting, aand I usually peak between 3 & 4. Some months, I might get close to 5. Make sure you have a Wi-fi capable device so you can use free wifi...

    North Dakota Job Boom

We have to chain up the roads? How does one do that? Last time I went to Minot, the HELP WANTED signs were all over. Went to get a room and there were none to be had. It's a permanent situation up there. You know the problem with corrupt and abusive cops? They give the other 5% a bad name.

    Time falls back this sunday

For those new to logging, you don't gain an extra hour of drive time. What a shame. You know the problem with corrupt and abusive cops? They give the other 5% a bad name.

    wanting to come back

No, wait a minute...there are waivers now. Started that a few years ago. But as for this guy, as long as he stays away from the web of the big boys, he probably won't even need a CDL or physical at all.

You’re going to tow my truck where?

Keep in mind, I'm not saying I agree with that. I'm just saying that twisted mindset is out there.

Michigan front lic.plate for straight truck

When I was in a straight truck, I've gone through chicken houses, and get chased down upon exit because of no front license plate. Before they catch up to me, though, they see the rear Illinois plate and shut down the lights and go back to the chicken house.

    Something to think about.

Who didn't know that Obama was a communist? His talk with Joe the Plumber confirmed what everybody suspected.

Taunting isn't really an accurate description. I don't know where to find it, but there was a previous occasion in which Turtle addressed this issue fairly exhaustively, much moreso than this time. That's why I was saying NOT THIS AGAIN.

Who said anything about .70 a mile. I wouldn't have touched it at that rate. And again, running hard is the USP of a van. Long distances straight through or nearly straight through is the purpose of a van. The customer has that freight, and I can do it safely, I should say no?

Right. So if you drive through New Jersey, even statutorily tired, and don't hurt anyone, you've broken no laws. So nap when you need it and above all, don't hurt anyone.

Well, then, let's do so... Last time I read the Bill of Rights, it said no one could be compelled to testify against themselves. The Supreme Court has ruled that this applies to every situation in which a penalty might result from information you're compelled to give the government. It goes so...

    Fun with deputies

I'd say it's the primary point. I know that big trucks can be moved for the same or not much more than a van. When I was driving big trucks, the same disputes were going on, about how/why drivers would accept cheap freight, and I know some were taking freight for van rates. So if a shipper...

Geez, this again? Turtle, if you wouldn't mind... I know I could probably find your explanation in the archives, and if I were on my laptop, I might try.

Of course. That's what I've been saying the whole time. Look, the fact that vans aren't regulated like trucks is the ràison dê etre of CVs. It's our USP--our Unique Selling Proposition, the thing that makes CVs different than and preferable to trucks in many situations. You need those skids in...

Iirc, doesn't Maggie's Law merely say that if you hurt or kill someone because you are driving fatigued, that extra penalties apply? So if you drive fatigued and DON'T get in a wreck, you're golden, right? That's pretty much the same principle as in my fireworks analogy above: exercise your...
