    Roof Top A/C question?

For the van and Sprinter drivers who have installed roof top a/c, what have you noticed for fuel economy loss? Would the unit be more aero dynamic mounted toward the front of the roof or farther back toward the rear of the roof? Thanks!

    Going to Florida

I was in Florida a couple weeks ago. Murray didn't even give me time for breakfast in the morning. Was planning the casino and Universal Studios.

I would hope that magnetic signs and a copy of the contract showing that your leased to that carrier would be proof that the van is "registered" to that carrier.

    Frosty February 2015

We always get paid our rate for DH. But on my own dime just running around exploring about 90-100 miles. Ran 5,175 in the 3 weeks. Had a few slow days, sat 2 days in Houston and a day in WV. Actually some of the slowest weeks I've ever encountered. But, it was mostly January so I expected that...

    Frosty February 2015

Please!! 3 weeks out. That's the longest I've ever stayed out. Mostly I stayed out because the weather was so much better in TX, FL, GA and even in WV. But, time to go home and clean and restock the van now. And OVM wants to go to Laredo where it's warm. LOL

    Frosty February 2015

Can't help with the smell, but mine had an adjustable timer built into the thermostat. Could be set for 4 hours, 10 hours or continuous operation. They also monitor battery voltage constantly and will shut down if voltage becomes too low.

    TV Off air TV antenna

I bought the Winegard flat TV antenna and taped it to my small side door window. Been working a little better then the window mounted V type that I had from Pilot. Main thing is I don't need to put it up or take it down. It's just always there and ready.

    Sprinter?? Transit?? Diesel?? Gas??

Yes, the one I drove felt weak at highway speeds. But I've never driven a PM to compare. The Ford has 5 less hp but rated 1 mpg better and both have the exact same torque numbers. I bought the 3.5 Ecoboost for the fun factor. I still like having lots of power that I'll probably never use. On...

    Sprinter?? Transit?? Diesel?? Gas??

Just wondering why everyone seems ok with the 3.6 engine in the Promaster but doesn't think the base 3.7 Transit engine will do the job?

    Truck Refrigerators

I'm considering getting a refrigerator for my van. Should I go with a 12 volt/110 volt with automatic switch over? Or would a cheap Walmart type 110 refrigerator using an inverter be adequate? Built in or stand alone doesn't matter, I can build a cabinet if necessary. Any good brands that I...
