Thanks for making my point for me. Just like the school officials, they thought at the very least he made a hoax bomb, because to them it looked like a bomb.

The students(mostly all of them) didn't know the picture shown to them was Ahmed's 'clock'. And nearly all of them thought it looked like a bomb. In other words, the students thought it looked like a bomb not knowing it was made by a kid who happened to be Muslim.

Did Ahmed's father say his son was 'tortured'? Yes or no?

It's embarrassing that you would think it's not good journalistic practice to seek a statement from the SPOKESPERSON from the school about the story they are writing on. We will just have to see how this plays out and if she will eventually correct the record.
