Kim, how did you end up in Wayland? That's a nice new "J" and quiet. Like many other "J's" now, the restaurant is closed at night.
I have all Flying J's downloaded as a POI file on my Garmin. The Wayland "J" shows up as being located over in Quincy, about 50 miles to the south. What's up...
I smell government intervention in this mess. Is it possible that the Obama administration made a "suggestion" to Goldman Sachs to help YRC? Something ain't right.
It should be now that you have 2 posts under your belt! You first time posters have to be careful what you post. Learn the pecking order, okay?
How's that for my second attempt at being a curmudgeon? And stay the hell off my lawn you gall darn newbie. I'm not going to tell you again...
Will you accept input from a cargo van driver?
Times up, here goes. First get an empty weight splitting the steer axle and the drive axle. I am assuming you have a standard 12,000# rated steer axle and the federal max allowed on a dual wheel single axle is 20,000#. Check the vehicle...
How will us independent truckers ever survive w/o the cut rate Barrack Obama out of the industry. Maybe the congress will just have to see and understand that cut rate back stabbing carriers just weren't all they were cracked up to be. That us normal pull up your boot straps and get it done...
I called and ordered my jacket yesterday. The nice lady had some difficultly believing I have been with Panther since 2006 and never got a first year jacket. She said my request would be e-mailed to Sean for processing. I think I got blown off!
I'm with ARLENT on this one: "Let it flow." If you want to speed up this process put your head in a microwave oven, low power for about 3 minutes. Always remove eyeglasses; ear, nose and lip piercings, fillings and metal plates. Bon appetit!
2 problems with hand held cb's are limited range with the built-in antenna and charging the batteries. You could probably find a hand held with an external antenna connection and a 12 volt plug but then you really don't have a hand held radio anymore.
I would think a Uniden 510 like Dakota...
Yeah, I remember Con-Way Now, I was with them for 8½ years. I also remember being told the expedite unit was sold to Panther and if I wanted to sign a lease with Panther I would receive $1000.
What I don't remember is them having driver employees, company equipment, other than...

Moose, I was in your neighborhood yesterday morning. Crossed the river at 37th avenue to get to I-94. I didn't have time to stop at the North Pole Cafe. I used to get some nice loads out of the MetalMatic plant on shingle Creek. Are they still there?
I agree with Moose. Abloy locks are the most trouble free locks I have ever used. Below are links to 2 threads dealing with padlocks.

I'm not trying to shift blame from the idiots at Arrow. But the ease at which loans are obtained and restructured has a lot to do with the "actual foolishness." Not much different than the banking and home mortgage problems.
I got a heck of a deal on a Bostrom air-ride seat and two 8' chains...
Hey Mikey were guys at the TA in Hampshire, Ill. last Monday or Tuesday before Christmas? That truck looks familiar.
I assume the 3 pics with the corners burned out were done with Photoshop. I just can't see you in the sleeper with the curtains taped shut, bent over an enlarger and passing a...
