    Economy is looking better

The government can create a Cash For Clunkers program and pay individuals to trade in their old obsolete robots for a new and more efficient robot. All clunker robots will be crushed and melted down eliminating any spare parts market. Would you want some ancient pervert robot looking up your...

It's Sad What Happened at FedEx CC

Panther has a granite wall that stretches along Panther Parkway imbedded with precious metal plaques. Each plaque is laser engraved with the driver's name, portrait and years of service.* A gold plaque represents 10 or more years of service. Silver is for 5-10 years service and bronze is for...

Buying a good used tractor and having the frame stretched, if done right, is another option. Or just buy a tractor and do the T/T expedite thing.

Don't buy a truck for sentimental reasons unless it will only be used for Sunday afternoon drives. A truck is a business tool and it's purchase should be well researched. Dig around here and you will find most members suggest a class 8 truck for expediting. A private carrier gig is rare these...

    Lifetime alignment

The skeptic in me prevents me from hooking up with one of these national chain outfits and their lifetime alignment programs. P.T. Barnum's famous quote comes to mind.

More value than just a truck…

I'm with Phil on the "enjoying the simple life". I'm content with driving my little van around and with the money and freedom it offers me. (insert famous DaveKC quote here)

    What's Going On At Panther???

Armin, if you were the holder of a Panther Precious Metal Priority Card you would have much quicker phone access to Panther Personnel. Even a measly Bronze membership would give you Bronze Priority. Of course the catch is that you must be leased to Panther to start earning your reward points in...

Islamist cleric Anwar al-Awlaki killed in Yemen

That's exactly how it played out, well except for the capture and trial part. In your scenario the end result is execution. You make mention of a trial but nothing about finding the poor slob guilty or not. So what is the difference other than saving a few bucks and some time? Like...

    Genius .... and Boobus .....

That is exactly why the two-party system rules and always will as long as people buy into the notion that a vote for a 3rd party candidate is a wasted vote. Create your own reality and vote for a candidate you most believe in! You are only wasting your vote if you follow the lead of some...

    Cube Van MPG

The problem with a DRW cube van, at least from a fuel economy perspective is, not only do you have two more tires adding rolling resistance, the box is 6 to 8 inches wider than a SRW cube which greatly increases drag. I would add a cab roof fairing first while further investigating the rear...
