Maybe they would be willing to send some of the freight they can't cover from shortage of drivers over to the expedite companies. I think a lot of drivers would be willing to work for .10 less a mile as opposed to sitting. :)

These trucks should be at 12-13 mpg by now, what is the hold up. I mines well just stick with a volvo d11 lowest hp and drive it slow with the cruise on.

I'm pushing 27 mpg with a truck that was designed in the 90's with a 2.7L engine that was derived off a engine from the late 70's. Technology still has a long ways to go till I can fork over 40 grand.

Re: Top 10 Best Expedite company's. The best are the ones that are hiring, take a look on the back page of the Expedite Now Magazine and that will be your answer. The ones that have fast settlements, empty moves, all DH paid is a plus.
