Landstar expedite does require class b even for vans last i knew.

And never ever get double rear wheels.

Landstar i believe still requires you to get a class b cdl for the hazardous materials that sometimes have to be moved.

The rear end is the easiest change to do and reprogram the computer.....if you change the transmission you need the computer for it AND drive shaft then reprogram it....you can even change tire size and get different fuel mileage.

Oh and the promaster headlight is a pita to change.

If the promaster was a few feet longer it would be a better starter van and the transit a great second van.

Might just be cheaper to change the gear ratio in the rear axle.

You still want to weight the van with you, your gear and a full tank of fuel. Take the total and subtract from your door sticker. That will be your true weight limit.

Just so you know 8000 pounds in a van will get you pulled over fast.

A transit 150 might be to light. You +your gear+full tank take that van to a scale at a truck stop and weight it subtract that weight from the driver side door sticker....thats the weight your van can legally carry.
