Who should you use to send Hazmat?

Hazmat questions. 1. It is my understanding that a CV is not required to log or placard a Hazmat load that is under 1001 lbs. Correct? 2. A CV driver is required to have a Hazmat endorsement to haul any quantity of hazmat including less than 1001 lbs. Correct? Thanks

You're right Turtle. For me it was PWTW for Panther and my truck number was the driver number. Just finished scanning in PROs and BOLs using my phone and then sending them to Panther. It was fast and easy. This is a great app.

7.3 now running hot in the mountains

Driving a 2003 E350 w/7.3 has 410,000 miles and has never had a heat issue until yesterday. Traveling east on I 70 in Colorado I was driving up Vail Summit and at 9200 feet the gage went into the red. I pulled over and let it idle with heater running. It cooled in 10-15 minutes and I proceeded...

    Tolls around Austin Texas

This reminded me that I wanted to enroll my van in easy pass, which I just did. In the enrollment process there was a question on vehicle type where you had to choose weight, under 7000 lbs or over 7000lbs. If an unscrupulous person, surely not me, listed their van at under 7000 lbs when it was...

    Ford van battery cable fix

I have a 2003 Ford w/ 7.3 diesel. This means it has two batteries and a humongous positive battery cable junction on the battery under the hood. The portion that bolts to the positive battery post is cracked and from time to time becomes loose and will not start until you twist the cable and re...

    Red Light Cameras

I sent the following letter to the Mayor and Aldermen of Selmer, TN and wanted to share it with my "coworkers" as mentioned below. Gentlemen, I unintentionally ran a red light in Selmer a few days ago and received a letter from a third party company demanding I send them $50. I went on...

Ohio, privatization of roads, whats in ur wallet

Just mailed a $50 check to some private outfit in Knoxville for running a red light in Selmer, TN. The idea of some arsehole company using a local government unit to force me to add to their revenue is galling. I would not have been thrilled to pay the fine to the city but at least it would have...

    roof air

Received the SPP6E hard start capacitor and then got to worrying about it being the right one. I sent an email to SUPCO tech support and got the following reply from them. The SPP6E is not designed to use on 120 VAC systems, you will need the SPP6 [no E] for this unit. While a 2000 or 2500 watt...

    Sprinter/cargo van team expectations

Hey Underdog, I think you might be mistaken about the Hazmat for vans. A van at Panther does not placard as it also does not carry over the limit (1001 pound ?) of hazardous materials. Also, Panther does not pay more per mile for teams, they just allow you to run more hours which means more money.
