unfortunately... it won't be a cure all.....because there are lots of guys like me....that own their own van and have a LOW ...CPM.....all this really does is gets rid of (hopefully) the .60 - .70 cent runners....I think the overall industry will not see a really significient bump in rates...IMO

I was thinking it must be a double edged sword for load brokers.....they get cheaper rates this way and IF they want to make sure the loads are properly covered they are going to see (hopefully) rates go up a little to their customers

It cost me $20.00 per "additional insured" I have a direct policy with Progressive with both .. CIS and Crossroads named " additional insured"

on the downside of all this....it will literally wipeout single authority vans....as brokers have no way to confirm a proper policy is in place.....UNLESS the insurance company has the operator sign some kind of waiver that the broker could call and confirm a proper policy. BUT the single...

the thing with the "additional insured" rider....Progressive charges $20.00 for this BTW IS if I were to change my policy now in ANY way My carrier would get an email immediately informing them of a change...and I'd be toast IF it were any downgrade to the required policy.
