In my experience I am thinking there is this invisible line between management and dispatch.......dispatch gets an issue with a certain operator and they talk between them and either unconciously or deliberate...bad things start happening especially in a small office scenerio.....your passed...

I always thought it weird the Cuban Embargo and why it was in place and then on the flipside China one of the worst human rights violators/communist are our best trading partner....

so true, so true.....thing is brokers see them numbers as well....and it skewers the asking price, BIG supply lowers the price...they spoil it in more then one way....:(

and those numbers are just the ones posted on 1 board....there are several not a member of such...the numbers could be much higher...

of course this is just one persons opinion....so don't shoot the messenger, everyone has their own way to run their business.....is there a wrong way or right way? dunno...I guess your bottomline tell you that...

Well yeah of course...its when these bidders against my advice still include the DH in bid and we don't get the load.....you know who gets blamed for that eh?....in this competitive time I figure that bidder cost me any chance to get that load...

I hope your PAID miles were well paid...like above average rate to cover that cost...or, you are close to breakeven point...

what do you figure your % of unpaid miles to be at?

UNpaid DH is a great drain on our resources...and while its great to be paid ALL miles it can also be punishing to expect to be paid for them every load...or even a portion of them....to be TOO focused on the issue it can bite you in the butt as well....

To Add....IF a load bidders is adding every mile unto a bid without asking me first....that is a cause of concern for me.... Its MY load opportunity as well as the carriers...at this stage in this biz..you really think a shipper/broker is going to pay that extra $100 to cover your 75 miles DH...
