Registration must be in the name of the driver

So everybody doesn't have a 2 part ownership? My mind is blown So again, why would an American company state that registration must be in driver's name?

It slowly dawns on me "under 10,000" could be taken literally

Registration must be in the name of the driver

Entirely possible, but the last place I saw it advertised (today) was an American expediting company requiring it to hire on under 10,000 vans...any fleet owners/company owners chime in? I have a feeling its so they can point the finger at me in case of an insurance claim...

Registration must be in the name of the driver

Thanks for that...not sure if it would pass a brainless recruiter or not if the registration portion was not in "my name" ?

Registration must be in the name of the driver

That's my previous experience but I'm seeing this a lot. Makes me wonder how to set up a proper corporation to own the van for example (save on taxes) Closest thing to an explanation was "our contract is with you thats why"

Registration must be in the name of the driver

I've seen this everywhere, and although I'm not a newbie its never been explained. I posted here thinking it might help the newbie crowd as well. WHY does the registration have to be in the name of the driver? Insurance? Contract law? Company fleet insurance? Liability? My personal experience...

Dude its not that hard. You could probably gather the parts yourself for 500 or so. I've done that at the side of the road more times than I can count...my quote in 09 was 1500 and when I threatened to leave they suddenly found a part for 500 cheaper Course if you don't have a floor jack and...

Briefly considered turning a junkyard Espar into a driveway melter. Decided the best course of action was to roll over and go back to sleep

Suprisingly no one was...although that semi driver seems like any typical company driver, pedal to the limiter to max that $$$ per mile (Edit: ive always disagreed with the pay per mile system especially on regulated trucks, but I dunno what would change it)

Information collecting is all. Seems like a huge amount of work and money to end up with the same size and weight capacity that's already sitting in my driveway BTW guess I'm not getting punished, called around to some Canadian expediters and its a traditional slow start to the year for us

I'd be blissfully happy to toss the AMT in the trash and install a european manual, but that would be a great excuse for the mechanics to NOT fix it and blame me on the road So OVM, the Ford had a special option on the diesel to bring the 9500 GVWR to 9950...3.73 gearing! (Stock 3.31) Basically...

Seems like its pretty easy to option out a Promaster diesel to match the ford price. No huge packages, just a bunch of options that just keep adding up Dual sliding doors on the Promaster too. But why cant I get a swivel seat that's heated with lumbar? It's either or

I think I might just buy a dodge. At least they just break instead of slowly torturing you to death
