Turned out to be a split belt..I got lucky yet again it did not snap....When I looked at the belt I could see those small cracks on the grooves but where the belt stopped, the split was not visible...

I can relate..I get some asking me why i do what I do...then with a simple explaination they agree it makes sense... Proactive towards safety and unwanted untimely breakdowns..

I have been slammed many times in here by those advocating ...it ones freedom and right to cherry pick...it is their business choice....BUT I have the right to not listen to them whine when they claim it is slow out there as well... IMO the sooner these type of expeditors are gone the better...

Looks like it serves the purpose ...considering it is a private plane..from one secure location to another...

I've been in the same boat last time out...got Wisc and Iowa and didn't go home..it was just too busy and i was on a roll...I went home this time because I had 7 weeks in...a long weekend coming up, and my roll started to sputter...out of sync so to speak...

Thats was my exact point Steve.... I've lost track of the times I've taken a crappy load and it turns out to be a money maker, either detention time/hand load/ change of delivery location or a stop added...you just never know especially if one cherry picks...

Guido..IF I were 200-400 miles from home I'd be there in a flash as well...especially in a good area... Most DH about 200 miles or so every week...I stay out 5-7 weeks and DH about 1,000 to 1,200 miles home...so do the math...it is the same thing...

There was a time I did my own brakes....but not now... The time spent jacking up the van, taking the tires off and so forth....I'd prefer to just spend the $72 and have someone else do it...I spend enough time in the darn thing without being under it as well...*L* BTW: dealer rate is only...

geo..my award/reward is NOT spending money on brake jobs...:D I figure I'am up a thousand or 2....just on lack of brake jobs...:)

My point is..as responsible business owners we must find a balance between ourselves, our carrier and of course the customer that pays the bills...What effects our carrier eventually effects us to some degree...WE, as in all 3 parties must make this work for all to be satisfied.

Probably would if they weren't out polishing all that chrome..;)
