Our formula is $1.30 on the Midwest Average from EIA... 10mpg for st8s and 15 for van/sprinters and they round off to the LOWEST number....we don't get the .8 or .4...if it is 11.8 we get 11 and so on....so we don't get 100%.

correct..there is no real or set average...you can only look around and hear what others are getting and make up your own mind if you are getting a fair deal...if you feel shorted, take it up with your carrier why they seem to be a little light...communicate...

I've got it down to 7 minutes..to put window AC in...that includes the gen tossed out and locked down and climbing back in and hitting the start button....not too shabby...

am envisioning that some have their fuel tanks, boxes and apu's underneath and the a 10-12 feet open space till the rear axle...it's that open space where drag would occur as the wind whips around... The heat you refer to would be from the engine I'd assume...trailers wouldn't be effected by...

If you are a safe driver now and drive defensively then you are a better driver then most... safer on the road? as in which manner do you mean? If you do cross border then you already have awareness training...
