    wifi discount at the "J"

Yeah, too funny. Rather than upgrade antiquated, first-generation WiFi equipment, they want to sell you a booster. The antennas are located to provide service for big trucks, so the car/rv lots are usually the weakest spot. So, where I park the signal is usually marginal, and as soon as I button...

    Magical Mystery F.S.C.

If the percentage of vans at Panther that are fleet vans is 80%, you'd be right about 80% of the time. But I've swapped out to non-fleet vans, and have taken the second half of swaps from both fleet and non-fleet vans. I honestly don't think that dispatch, the Swap Desk in particular, cares...

    FSC and publicly traded companies

The reason for the FSC in the first place was that many carriers have contracts with customers that cannot be changed, so they couldn't simply bit up the price, as the price was already set. The FSC was simply a way to add to the line haul price without breaching the contract. On the back end...

    Magical Mystery F.S.C.

The flat rate FSC isn't the issue, nor is how much the FSC actually is. It's like getting a load offer of 900 miles, then accepting it, than a few hours later they tell you that it's gonna swap, and they tell you, "Hey! 450 miles is a good run!" Like, that's sooo not the issue. The issue is...

    On a positive note

"I see nothing about the economy, health care or much of anything that He ran on. I guess I don't understand." You don't see anything in there about having to have any executive experience, either. :) The Constitution, contrary to popular belief, isn't a job description, it's a job definition...

    Fall pics

Yeah, really good pictures. But, while your eye is drawn to the far off distant point, mine is drawn to the much closer and well camouflaged Walking Stick. Be afraid. Be very afraid. It'll eat your face right off.

    On a positive note

I voted absentee, as well. The reason I voted for my candidate is because I feel he has the most realistic view of the country and its problems, and understands the consequences of any actions to correct those problems, and that there are no quick fixes to correct decades of problems. For...

The Login on the main page is different than the Forum login (why is that?). I just checked those links up there and they take me to the main page, now. If you to to the maim page (RoadGorilla.com - Where you are King of the Road) and then under COMMUNITY click FORUM, on the menu bar you'll...

    media bias

Here's a similar AP article about the Center for Media and Public Affairs research. The article also references the Pew study (link above). It's an equally interesting article, especially in the last few paragraphs where it lists Pew research that's not even mentioned in the link above. The...

    FSC and publicly traded companies

FedEx has many divisions, with Custom Critical being just one really small one, practically a footnote on the quarterly and annual reports. The company divisions, like Ground and Freight, for example, 100% of the FSC that customers are charged goes to the bottom line, which in turn benefits the...

    wifi discount at the "J"

On the annual plan, if you decide to end it, to get out of it, any unused months are given back to you. It's not like a cell phone contract. It's easy to get out of. But like Crazy said, even if you use it 3 or 4 times a month it's a good deal.

    Can You Take a Look...

Yeah, when you go to the Forum and select Register, is should take you to the Forum registration page (the links in my above post), but it doesn't, it takes you to an application form, instead. That's broken and needs to be fixed. Otherwise, the Forum's gonna be a lonely place.

    Who going to win

There's a reason polls are reported with a margin of error. Often in the press. a final margin error of anywhere between 3-5% is reported on the big question, and the margin of error is just a guess based on the end results compared to the polling data that was taken. In the most recent poll...

ObAMA/OsAMA - The difference is just a little bs

It's Bad Journalism 101 is what it is. It's a misleading headline that has absolutely nothing to do with the "news" it purports to be about. The posting was all about Obama's view on certain hot button issues. It shoudn't be too hard to come up with a relevant attention grabber for a headline...

    Racism where???

Yeah, youth voters have always tended to vote Democratic, because younger people tend to be very liberal until they grow up and see how things actually work. There have been a few blacks who have expressed their concern with the fact that, in direct conflict with the dreams of Dr Martin Luther...

Same here. If you go to a forum posting and read it, then click reply, you won't be logged in, so it takes you to the login screen. At the bottom of that there is a register link, and it takes you to the forum registration page where you create a username, pass, etc. The register link is...

    Racism where???

It's not a question of merely thinking that blacks are overwhelmingly voting their race. Poll after poll shows that blacks are voting somewhere between 93% and 96% for Obama, whereas historically blacks voters are about 60% to 65% for the Democratic ticket. A jump from 60% to more than 90% is...

    Panther Fuel Discounts :)

I seem to get the discount at TA even if I don't check the Web site or call the phone number. (I say that, because I just had someone ask me if we have to call the number to get the discount.)
