    Best and Worst runs

Ahhh... Lake Orion... nice lake. Sat one day and watched the idiots run into each other with their jet skis...ahh... Lake Orion. That Winter watched two idiots go out on the ice and try to cut a hole in the ice. It wasn't really a frozen lake and they had a bit of a problem when all their...

    WANTING TO EXPEDITE

Earl, This may sound bad, but a lot of people like to complain just to complain. There is money to be made, it is not difficult. Read everything you can before you make a decision and then read it all again. If you can, do what I did, I bookmarked a bunch of pages and then printed the good ones...

    WANTING TO EXPEDITE

Leo thanks, hope this gives a good picture with both posts. I didn't include the FSC becuase it is not a given, where the .77/mile is. If the fuel prices drop to the point that the FSC is gone, you need to do some refiguring. Also counting on something that is not mandated and varies load to...

    WANTING TO EXPEDITE

You know if I was offered a $17/hour job right now that had nothing to do with IT; I would not be on the road. Honestly I turned down a $65/hour contracting job because it had to do with IT; I just don’t want to do that work at that level anymore. As much as many say you will do fine and...

I'm getting a little tired of it

Tom As a van driver I have to put up with the same c**p I had to when I owned cube trucks and had them all over the east coast and in the south. I get the impression from a few because I don’t drive a real truck, I could not comment on real truck issues. Well there are no real truck issues...

    HOS (HOUR OF SERIVE) NEWBIE

Cheri, I can see how this is really frustrating for a van driver, being one myself. Many truck drivers are assumed guilty by the very fact they drive a truck. We are supposed to be professional drivers, meaning we are above the average driver in skill and knowledge and this sometimes works...

Somehow its all comming back to me.

Sorry about your loss. But I have a really dumb question; I thought there were very few exceptions (training, licensing, emergencies) for more than two people in the cab underload by DOT regs. Maybe I heard wrong and for some reason it sticks in my mind as I thought I heard it.

    Introduction to Expediting

Phil, This looks good, but is it possible to get this in a little booklet form – maybe in PDF format so it can be downloaded and printed?
