If you want governent HC this is what you risk getting..

That is correct and DNR orders should be followed, either way. Doctors should not be allowed, or required, to over ride a DNR order or not resuscitate someone who has no DNR on file. It should NOT be up to the doctor to decide based on "quality of life". Far too much room for abuse. It is up...

They really try but, as all government programs, they are cash strapped. They are even turning away retired vets, not enough money for new patients. So much for honoring a contract, eh?

I go to the VA, my doctor is pretty dog gone good. It is strange for a VA but I have had the same doctor since 2000. That is rare. My dad and nephew have her as well.

You can bet your life, if you want to, that sooner or later politics will come into play. The government will decide your life based on money and political considerations. Government, by it's very nature, always becomes oppressive.

The term "heroic measures" means using more advanced medical skills, beyond CPR although some include CPR, to revive someone who is dying. I don't know how or why that term ever came about. It still boils down to one thing, the government has NO valid role in end of life or medical treatment...

Funny story about that shop. I always try to use local business people where ever I live. I needed some body work on a car I had, so, I went over to that shop, not knowing anything about it, and asked about getting the work done, The owner politely laughed and said that he NEVER works on cars...

Now, now, Leo put that thread up at the request of other members who wanted it. No need for RULES there, just a tad of respect. Are you in a "grouch" this morning? Where are you by the way?

September 2010 Banter only- No locations

Power structure? What power structure? Can we use that power to provide free electricity for our members? We don't need a "special banter" section, we already banter all over the place. We are "professional banterers" (that is hard to say, it kinda hurts) As to the sigs, you have it turned...

    Feedback: LDB's Experimental thread

It IS a good idea and the week long thing sounds good. As to making our "mod jobs" easier, no one should HAVE to remove banter. It is always easier, and better, for everyone to just show a bit of respect for the wishes of others. We don't need rules that need enforced. This one is a no brainer...

Mornin Ken!! :) I just finished my second cup, how about you? Hey, lighten up. It won't hurt to allow those who want this new location only thread to have it. We can banter on everywhere else. Nothing to do with liberal, in fact, being polite is the proper "conservative" thing to do!! So there! :p

I trust NO government, US, Canadian or Russian. Our governments DO NOT trust us and, not only do they ignore what we tell them we want or don't want, they often feel the need to force their ideas on us. There is NO WAY that I believe that 537 people, most of whom are NOT the sharpest tacks in...

    Feedback: LDB's Experimental thread

Many people have expressed an interest in the "no banter" locations thread. Now that it is here it is being used and serves a purpose. It will work as long as people are just plain polite and give a little to others needs and wishes. It really can't be that hard to do, can it?

    New refrigerator

Nope, 110 volt. It is a house unit. The fancy AC/DC one I had runs between $900-1100 bucks a pop. They tend to break down often. The way I look at it is if I can get 2 years out of this one then just replace it I can do that almost 4 times and break even. My old one was 3.7 cubic foot with a...

Yeah, maybe, we are only ONE missed heartbeat away from losing our Constitution. Obama wants to RULE and will do whatever it takes to get to that point.

IF Obama gets to appoint one more SC judge you can kiss ANY chance of getting rid of Obama care through the courts. ANY Obama court appointment will NOT believe in our Constitution and will be so far to the left and more than happy to impose socialism on us.

    New refrigerator

We picked up a new Frigidare 4.4 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer today. It was on sale for $223.00. It will NOT get put in this trip home. We are going to have to have cabinets rebuilt to have it fit. It has a good size REAL freezer. It is going to be nice once it is all finished.
