I see the difference and agree. I would also extend that to ALL extra things that are NOT basic education. Tax payers should not have to pay for "frills". Those who chose the "frills" should foot the bill. There should, however, be "gym classes" for all ages, K-12.

WE decide for OUR TRUCK when it is safe or unsafe to drive. WE determine our risk based on what WE are willing to accept. It does not matter if another truck is willing to run when we are not. It is OUR truck and OUR lives. NO LOAD is worth damage or loss to either IF it can be avoided.

They will LET us take anything that we can legally carry. That load may NOT even be enough to cover my costs let alone make some profit. We are offered most loads that the other trucks would see but they are often offered at rates FAR below what we need to make a profit.

We too keep track of where we pick up and deliver loads. If you keep good records you will start to see the same places showing up often. Talking with similar trucks from your carrier can help as well.
