THanks for the info. Does FedEx have things worked out with the "J" about the fuel reciepts or do you still have to send them in? Layoutshooter

    FedEx and T-Chek

Hey guys, how you doin? We have not tried the T-check at a "J" yet. Can you use it at the pump like at the other stops or do you need a "J" account. It will be nice to get an on-line system up. Layoutshooter.

I want to thank everyone again for all the concern and help. With your help we are able to unload in the morning and then get to a repair shop without being forced into making choices. I am glad that so many in here put the person first, my kind of people. Layoutshooter

They have always called me out for the torque. I did NOT initial the part about the oil drain plug, only the tranny and rear end. No worry Greg, I will start working on the real fix as soon as I unload the truck on Tues. I might be goofy but not crazy!!! HEHEHE. Thanks again to EVERYONE for your...

Well, I had an expandable rubber oil filler plug put in at the TA in Wytheville. It has worked so far. We made it as far as Charleston WV. Only 24 miles to go on Tuesday morning. Cross you fingers but we have a chance!!! Thanks to all here, what a great resource this is. Layoutshooter

Hey VavMan, ANYTHING could have happened. They tried plumbers tape at Speedco but it did not work. I still think Speedco is a fault, they said nothing about the plug being too loose or too tight when they took it out. Who knows. Layoutshooter

I am going to try a plug today, I think it will hold till I can drop this load on Tues. I will be in contact with Speedco on Tues as well. I did not see them put the plug in, they had put it in and the oil was in. They called me out to witness the "torqing of the plugs" as normal and it would...

I have their sheet that they gave me there. I will most likely have to get a lawyer on it. Who knows if that will be worth the cost and effort and time. I am going to try to plug it in the morning, like you say, just to hold it to get this load off. There is a DD service center 20 miles from...

I just love this forum, I ALWAYS get such great ideas!!! Not sure Bob, no one here will even look at it until Tuesday. That is why I am looking for a temp fix to get me up the road. FedEx is havnig trouble finding anyone to take this and they are not sure if the customer will let them break the...

I like the JB Weld idea, I will try it a first light. The threads have been wrapped with teflon tape already. It drips only a drop every couple of minutes. How hard is it to get the JB stuff off once it is on? Layoutshooter

They said it was not their fault and will not fix it. I watched them try to torqe it but I did not see them put it in. All I know is that it was not leaking when I took it in and I cannot run at all now. Has anyone tried the Fumoto quick drain valves? Layoutshooter

I will look in the TA for such a thing, but I somehow doubt it. Maybe a transom plug for a boat might work. I will have to call a cab tomorrow and see if I can get to a Wally World to see what I can find. I am TOO tired and TOO fed up to try it tonight. Layoutshooter

I give up. I stopped for a oil change at the Speedco in Wytheville VA. I have a load on the truck that does not deliver until Tues at 9am. Figured this was a good time to do it. WRONG!!! When they tried to tourqe on the drain plug it stripped and will no longer stay in the oil pan, it's Sat on a...

    Latest on Mexican Trucks Issue

I don't see anyone from either party helping, or the trucking industry. We have to help ourselves, but we won't. We will file lawsuits, injunctions, stays etc and in it will still happen. Let's all vote out everyone and put in dead frogs, they won't stink as bad as what we have in there now...

    women's safety

Thank you for bringing this topic up Leo, we need to talk about it more often. Pepper sprays are not legal in many states as well as Canada. Seems that many governments don't want people to defend themselfs. One thing that is legal everywhere is a walking cane. My wife's uncle told me about...
