    Hating Microsoft, reason #8342

There was no need to go and buy another copy of the software to get this one fixed. Didn't even have to uninstall and reinstall, either.

    Hating Microsoft, reason #8342

Ah, OK. A known problem. Provided you are running a retail copy (not just a trial download) you will get free support regarding this problem when you call MS Tech Support at (866) 834-8317. They will need to remotely run a little "reset" utility that resets some registry settings.

    Hating Microsoft, reason #8342

What, exactly, is the error? What does it say, exactly? Depending on what's going on, it might be Microsoft, or it might be something as simple as a corrupt video or mouse driver, a had block on the hard drive, or any number of things.

An open letter to Flying J corp.

I've never had a problem at Denny's. They are consistently rated in the top 10 of all sit-down national chains in areas of food quality, customer service, and health and safety standards. Sure, there are some bad ones, but those are the exception rather than the rule. In the interest of fair...

    Power inverter woes

I'm running a POS Cobra 1500 Watt inverter. I have a 3000 Watt pure since was inverter, but a nut came loose inside and it fried. Need to get it repaired or replaced. Been saying that for 4 years now, tho. The Cobra works fine. About every other year I end up having to replace it, mainly because...

    Power inverter woes

What happens with these things is, the fan goes bad, stops working. The inverter isn't overloaded, it just bakes itself to death. Heat kills electronics and it's critical to keep them cool. If the fan stops working, replace it ASAP. Depending on where the inverter is mounted, you may be to...

Excellent. Then there should be very little misunderstanding as to what they are for. It appears that you're one of those who believe, despite what the DOT regulations state, that anyone who hauls freight is hauling it in a commercial motor vehicle. The FMCSA is all about the safety of the...

Yeah. We basically have 3 kinds of insurance. 1) Non Trucking Automobile Liability, same as you'd have for you car or pickup, which is most often referred to in the trucking industry as Bobtail Insurance, but it's the same thing, and it provides general liability while not under dispatch, and 2)...

    Bordering on Insanity

The thing is, the immigration regulations already prevent aliens with criminal records from entering the country. But without secure borders, those regulations cannot be enforced. Once the borders are secured, the current immigration policies are not all that bad, maybe in need of a little...

"There's always been that little conflict as to whether a under 10K is a CMV or not." Not for anybody who has read the FMCSA regulations and the definitions of a CMV. A cargo van is only a commercial motor vehicle, and thus subject to the FMCSR of the DOT, only in very strict, very well...

I can't speak for RLENT, but as for myself, no, I do not believe that you are against immigration. I believe, that you believe, that the immigration policy of this nation should not be based on what is reflected on the Statue of Liberty, that is to say, to allow the poor, downtrodden huddled...

The company "logo" on the side of the box is an advertising billboard, and is not required by DOT at all. Company policy is what puts that there. The DOT requires the company name (can be just plain lettering or the logo itself), the city and state where the company is located, and the DOT# on...

    Bordering on Insanity

Not really. People want to come here today for the same reasons they did when that sonnet was written. The ideas expressed in the sonnet were the backbone of American immigration policy long before that sonnet was written, and will remain so for a long, long time. The sonnet didn't write policy...

That's really more of a PM or e-mail that you should send to your owner. Post his e-mail address and I'll be happy to play the go-between on this. :D

    Bordering on Insanity

Once the plaque of the sonnet was placed onto the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty, 'The New Colossus' redefined the statue's purpose, turning Liberty into a symbol of hope to the outcasts and downtrodden of the world. Since then, US immigration policy has used the sentiment of 'The New...

    Those radical NY greenies

When NY's anti-idling law first came out, and why it's still called Idling Prohibition for Heavy Duty Vehicles, it applied only to 10,001 pound vehicles. But it wasn't but a few months before they changed it to 8500 GVWR. It was almost like they did it specifically to encompass Sprinters, which...
