ADF Diesel does those. They're in Mississauga I think. They've got locations all over the place, tho. I'm pretty sure Refrigerated Transport Services in Kitchener does, too. At least they did the last time I was up there. It's been a while. The only reason I know about them is that I delivered...

    Hello Pot.....

From the "comments" section... I agree. This is a reporter Blogging pure gossip. It's shameful. It's The View, it's Entertainment Tonight, it's pathetic.

    2k to 3000mi a weak lease

I'm not sure how funny it is, but I do think it's somewhat pathetic that people don't make the attempt at learning everything they can about their job. But make no mistake, while I do drive a cargo van, I have a CDL and a HAZMAT endorsement and I've hauled plenty of HAZMAT that requires scaling...

    Olbermann Suspended by MSNBC

Once you read the article, you'll have to wonder why Olbermann was singled out for this, since so many others, including entire networks, do the same thing. In any case, maybe the other networks will see this as a sign they need to clan up their act, and the acts of their on-air personalities...

    2k to 3000mi a weak lease

Actually, if you read his statement carefully, what he said is the same thing you said. He differentiated between 10,001 and 10,000, and he's correct in that there's no logging and no scaling for anything under 10,001, not 10,000. I think your original statement was "No Scales and No Logging is...

Obama visit criticised for 'over-the-top' spending

I thought they were going to be transparent, too, but they haven't even been transparent on the things they said they'd be transparent on. I can't imagine why they'd be transparent on the things (like presidential travels costs) that they're not supposed to be transparent with. What would...

    Has anybody seen this van?

You should be OK with that van, assuming that it's actually been weighed and you have that much for cargo. Even 2000 for cargo is really enough. Count on adding anywhere from 100-300 pounds for personal stuff, tho. Clothing and food and paper plates and stuff can add more than you think.

    Think you deserve respect?

Ah, yes, I am remiss. How could I forget. One bad fleet owner translates to all fleet owners are bad. Even Muslims feel sorry for fleet owners.

    West side story?

You want to idle in a Sprinter at a relatively high idle, in order to keep enough pressure in the EGR valve. Otherwise you end up having to replace the EGR vavle sooner than normal. I idle to recharge batteries, and when it's 112 degrees, except that it wouldn't have mattered in Mesa...

It's just another window to be blocked off in order to sleep during the day.

Obama visit criticised for 'over-the-top' spending

Don't hold yer breath, because they never will come out with the actual number. Those numbers are never released. Without exception, every single president this country has ever had has been criticized every time he's stepped out of his office, whether it's to take a trip to Monticello or to...

    West side story?

How well or poorly you do out west is largely dependent on your carrier. Apparently, FECC leans towards TVAL freight when trying to find loads, and will let a dry van sit. For my carrier, that's not the case. It's clearly not the case with vans. I've been out west many times, and have no...

    Carriers' view on van windows

There are probably a few control-freak carriers that won't allow them, but for the most part they don't care. My first van had rear windows, which of course I covered up. You want them covered because of privacy, and to keep people from seeing what you're hauling who might get a little too...

Obama visit criticised for 'over-the-top' spending

Everybody who keeps confirming the $200 million per day figure are all, every one of them, unable to break it down to show how it's actually being spent. If you can't show where it's being spent, then it's just a number yanked outta yer аss. The number came from an Indian news agency who quoted...

    Think you deserve respect?

Granted, I'm in a van and don't spend a lot of time in or watching the big truck lots, but in more than eight years I don't think I've seen a total of eight people pee in a parking lot, much less eight people pee in the same parking lot within a 45 minute time span. The fact that all eight...

    West side story?

On a dark and harrowing night outside Williston, North Dakota, there it stood, in the middle of a narrow two-lane road, covered over by blowing snow, unwilling to yield passage. It was the North American Bison. Massive in size, thick in fur, he stood there, staring, nodding his head every now...

    West side story?

Expediting is, after all, primarily emergency freight. Such freight is rarely scheduled far in advance. It's not like routine shipments of retail items to Walmart or Home Depot or warehousing where inventory needs are easily predicted far in advance. You can make informed decision on where to go...

    Sprinter conversions

The small profile needle contour scribe you can get at Lowes. It's far too small for use on a project like Sprinter shelves, tho. I've used that for cutting both carpet and Linoleum. When I was just about finishing up on the 3rd or 4th vertical support, the log scribe (the geometry compass)...
