US Supreme Court allows anti-gay military funeral protests

Someone asks if Muslims believe in the Trinity, and that gets translated into intolerance? True enough, Christians have arguably the least tolerance of all religions, and the least of all for Muslims, but the asking of a simple question isn't intolerant at all. To answer the question, no...

    Teletype WorldNav Truck GPS navigation

There is no perfect GPS unit, so quit looking for it. They all have their mapping and routing quirks and errors. You will always have bad reviews of every single GPS unit out there, some legitimate and some simply because the unit doesn't behave in a manner which someone thinks it should. A GPS...

Gas prices are about more than just oil "Unlike an iPhone or a pair of jeans or a Big Mac, oil and gas are commodities, and their prices can change every second at the New York Mercantile Exchange and other trading hubs. Those far-off changes affect the cost of the next day's commute." It's...

Individually, but I suppose the company could pay for it. You can get the permit in person or online. If online, they'll just e-mail it to you.

    Turbo blowing freeze plugs

True love? :D Freeze plugs can be problematic. Many people will use Permatex #1 to keep them in place. Others use rubber plugs.

    Minorities vs entitlements

It's still inalienable. It's just that in some countries you can't think out loud.

    Illegals call for Violence

It's hard to call them invaders when we are opening the front door and inviting them in and giving them benefits. There are many parents of students who do not speak and read English very well. WE aren't required to publish everything in multiple languages. Many businesses print things in the...

    All Comercial Vehicles

I was being facetiously pedantic. In Arizona, you must have either a "single trip permit" or a valid "Arizona registration". "Permits" are issued for single-trip miles driven. They also have 30, 60 and 90 day "registrations" you can get, where the vehicle is literally registered in the state for...

    Prepaid WiFi and MiFi

Yeah, Verizon now has prepaid data plans for smartphones, like the Droid. You'll pay through the nose for it, though. 100 MB $15 Day 300 MB $30 Week 1 GB $50 Month 5 GB $80 Month You'll also pay double for the phone for prepaid, versus a 2 year contract. If you decide to be indentured for two...

    All Comercial Vehicles

How did you get a 30-day permit for your van? Permits are issued based upon miles driven in the state, and expire 96 hours (4 days) after they are issued, or when you exit the state, whichever comes first. A 30-day unlimited mileage permit for less than what it costs to transverse the state...

    Illegals call for Violence

For Illinois you may be right. Most states it's actual weight, but I've never looked it up for IL.

    Prepaid WiFi and MiFi

A couple of things that should be pointed out. One is, the Verizon Terms of Service specifically states that you cannot tether the phone to a laptop for Internet access (without paying the additional Mobile Broadband fee of $60), so doing so could be a problem. Like, the built-in tether options...

    Minorities vs entitlements

Yeah, either one. It's a crime because you might drink it and drive. What a load of crap that is.

    Illegals call for Violence

By being found not guilty of committing the crime, that's how. Crossing the border illegally is a Federal Class D misdemeanor (same as speeding, actually) for the first offense (becomes a federal felony upon the second offense), but everyone in this country, citizens and non-citizens alike...

    All Comercial Vehicles

Yeah. There again they're concerned about actual weight. Anything over 8000 pounds is more dangerous, so they want those slowed down. It's not the weight rating, but the actual weight at the time, so if you are loaded with, say, 500 pounds of freight, you're not 8000 pounds, so it doesn't apply...

I've known about Arizona for quite some time. To drive the 396 miles across I-10 costs a cargo van $16. The 6000 pounds or-greater GVW vehicles with no IRP plates must purchase a trip permit. I've never stopped and bought one, tho.
