Princess Beatrice wedding hat auction bids pass $29,500

It's well above that now. Princess Beatrice Royal Wedding Hat by Philip Treacy | eBay Auction Listing Aside from the fact that the hat looks more like the door knocker on Elton John's bathroom, I have to wonder if the hat designer isn't a big fan of Cher.

I don't know that I'd call that SPAM. I'd call it trolling, though. Troll (Internet) . In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of...

    Hazmat question?!

That's just one of the many benefits of shippers, 3PLs in particular, and dispatchers not knowing the rules and regulations as well as they should. :) I've gotten HAZMAT pay for ORM-D stuff.

Muslim in chief wants to eviscerate Israel

Responding to the post, and not to the poster, is one of my pet peeves. As long as you can keep it about the issues, then reasonable (usually intelligent) discussion can be had. But as soon as things come in from outside the current thread, when the responses are personal about the poster and...

    sprinter cruise control

WEll, the dipstick has two markers on it, but they aren't sensors. The Oil Sensor (detects oil level, oil temperature, and oil quality) is located in the oil pan. Check the dipstick, obviously, but if the dipstick looks fine but the display on the dash says it's overfilled, then there is a...

    Hazmat question?!

That's not entirely accurate. Within the realm of the real world, yes, that's true. But the DOT lives in their own world. Let's go visit DOT World, shall we? :D "Hazardous Material" is not defined by the FMCSA as being whatever is on the Table of Hazardous Material, as retarded as that...

    FEMA Concentration Detention Camps

You do. You're the one making the claim that they did. If you can prove it, yes. You must provide actual proof, though, and not conjecture, assumptions or "because I say so". Well, since I'm not the one speculating and fantasizing about what is or is not going on, I would say a clear absense...

    sprinter cruise control

Yeah, that's true. Turn the key to ON, not to start it, but to ON where the dash lights come on and stuff. Wait 10 or 15 seconds for the odometer display to change to an oil can. And then press the "mi " button. It will tell you if the oil is OK, or over-under filled.

    sprinter cruise control

Well, yeah, I'd say that if the engine light came on and the cruise no longer works, they're probably related. You need to know what the engine light error code is. It may be caused by a blown fuse or a bad relay, or something else entirely. If you don't have a code reader, Autozone should be...

    What about this

In the short term, as with every other change that takes place in the transportation industry, most drivers will see it as the sky falling and the end of the world as we know it. In the long term, freight will still get delivered, and the drivers who deliver it will be underpaid, same as now.

    Hazmat question?!

You betcha. Even a 5-gallon bucket of paint, if that thing breaks open and spills inside the van, I've got a serious environmental disaster. Granted, it's very localized, but it's still pretty bad.

    FEMA Concentration Detention Camps

I'm right there with ya. Both of those require proof from the one making the accusation (or statement in these cases), and not on the person it is being told to. If I tell you that I changed the speed limit, it's not up to you to prove I didn't, it's up to me to prove I did. If tell me that FEMA...

    USSR and Roswell

According to the book, they were children, 11 or 12 years old. The aircraft was piloted remotely from another aircraft, so (going with it...) Downs Syndrome or wildly frighteningly genetically altered wouldn't matter in that case, just as long as they scared the begezus out of us.

    Hazmat question?!

If you have any load, regardless of weight, which does not require placards, then it's not HAZMAT. As for stopping at RR crossings, it's certainly safer if you do, loaded or empty. If you are placarded, you are required to stop at RR crossings.

    Hazmat question?!

No. It works out that way as a fe facto result in many cases, as often the RQ is what makes it hazardous. But that's certainly not the case with all of them. The placarding is whether or not the material is designated as hazardous. Once a material is designated as hazardous, it is then that the...

    USSR and Roswell

Wow, I had no idea that the Soviets, back in 1947, was the world wide leader in not only remote piloting of aircraft, but in genetic engineering, as well. Who 'da thunk it? "And the tome is penned not by a crackpot conspirator, but a respected journalist." Remember when Newt was a well...

    Hazmat question?!

The HAZMAT label on the container means it's HAZMAT? Really? You really need to let the DOT know that, because they think otherwise. Labels are required on the outside of the package regardless of the quantity shipped, as long as the material shipped can be shipped in a quantity that...

White House Insider: Obama Hesitated – Panetta Issued Order to Kill Osama Bin Laden

Re: White House Insider: Obama Hesitated – Panetta Issued Order to Kill Osama Bin Lad You're talking about a man who has the biggest ego since.... since ever.
