    Talladega race anyone ?

LOL!! I was able to sleep, when it was not my turn to fire, on the rifle ranges in basic training. I have never been to a race other than Flat Rock Speedway when I was a kid and the Detroit Drag way once, when it was still there. I would likely enjoy the "people watching". I used to "hate"...

So was the money we spent in Libya worth it?

I don't know how reliable this human rights group is but this kind of action, assuming it is true, is EXACTLY what I expect from those who took over Libya. They may end up far MORE brutal than Gadhafi ever was. Rights group finds mass grave in Gadhafi hometown TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) —...

So was the money we spent in Libya worth it?

When all comes out in the wash we, and the Libyan people, are somewhat likely to end up with much worse that what was there.

    Talladega race anyone ?

Moose is GOOD people. I have met up with him a couple of times. Not had the pleasure of meeting you yet. I don't think I would want too there. Pay money to be put to sleep? NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, puts me to sleep faster than NASCAR. As in the race starts, 5 minutes, and the "Z" monster...

    Debating on selling my house

I understand the position. I just feel that there are far too many variables in this business to risk a home. All it takes is one 4 wheeler or a deer and the truck AND house, are gone.

    Debating on selling my house

I don't think I would risk my house for a truck.

    Canada Cross Border Straight Trucks!!

$1.20 per mile, for Canadian runs? That is BEYOND funny! More like a joke. My wheels don't role for that for INSIDE U.S. loads that DON'T have border problems. $1.20 per mile is SUBSTANDARD. Willing to work for that? BE ASHAMED!

oh my word, future government people?

You know Greg, I have WORKED with former Soviets, defectors all. They had the GUMPTION to escape, NOT the norm. They were a lot like that 3 year old who escaped from that "day care prison". All I need to know about the Soviets idea of "applied mediocrity" is the "Red Flags" Proof positive.

Car Company Gets U.S. Loan, Builds Cars In Finland

IF it is too heavy it is no good. A USABLE battery would be LIGHT, HIGH capacity, work at both warm AND cold temps, AND, recharge as fast as we can refuel a truck or car now. Anything less, is well, less!

    any advice?

Re: Dispatchers Far more businesses are closed on the weekends, therefor, less freight moves. Most, not all, freight that moves on weekends will run over the weekend with Friday pick ups and Monday deliveries. At least that has been the case for us since we have been in this business.

oh my word, future government people?

It may not be real. Then again, I have met a LOT of people out there who are AT LEAST that dumb! NO concept of reality. It is getting to be rather common in this country these days. Just look at Congress, NO concept of reality. Proof if I ever saw it!

    National Security Morons

Yeah, there sure can be some wait times. We don't haul a lot of any kind of hazmat. We seldom carry more than one or two radmat loads a year. We often turn them down, they don't always pay all that well.

I doubt that. We used the same detectors at our fire company. He was just being a typical "authority" figure. Had a lot of "power" in his own mind. It was low level stuff.

Boehner, Cantor Attack Trucking HOS Rewrite

Nope, LaHood is going to OUTLAW trucks and cars in his "sustainable communities". Unemployment will be resolved then. All freight will be moved by pedal cars.
