    Newt & Pailen

While I think Palin should run for National Level office, not the Senate the House. There is ONLY one thing in this country that is more worthless than a U.S. Senator and that is T"a"Ts on a Toad!! Why should she HAVE to move to the lower 48? That makes NO sense. Alaska is EQUAL among the...

Delivered yesterday in QC, then took a load from Montreal to Cleveland for 1430 this afternoon which, of course after sitting all night, cancelled. Made it to the junction of I88/I90 in NY, got a run for Monday, picking up in, you guessed it, picking up in Montreal, going to KY. Now sitting at...

We are leaving in a few minutes to drive right into the teeth of this storm. NOT wise planning on my part. I forgot about the storm when I took it, blinded by the PAY on this load.

    Major Blizzard is Comming.......

Normal late fall weather. Nothing more. These storms are common though out our history. We have just been in a bit of a lull for 50-60 years. Part of the continuing cycle. Just look back to the time just after the heat and drought that contributed to the Dust Bowl years and see what the winters...

    Fuel Economy Question

I ALWAYS exceed my QUOTA for screw ups!! I do know that this engine is able to be re-built. The M2 frame is the problem. The engine is STRONG, good MPG. The Tranny and rear end are fine. Too light on the axles in the front. LOT's of rattles etc. Cheap plastic ever where. etc etc.

    Fuel Economy Question

Sorry, I am NOT an engine buff and don't understand a lot about them, like "sleeves". The M2 frame is just too light as are some of the componets. A Class 8 is much "stronger" all around. Fewer rattles, etc.

    Bozo gets it

It is always the same, the MAN can only keep you down if you ALLOW it. It is our fault, pure and simple. As an industry and a Nation.

    Asian Carp

One of the problems is that the DNR is NOT a landowner advocate. Their mandate is habitat protection, restoration and wildlife management. Those mandates OFTEN conflict with the rights of private land ownership. That make it VERY difficult to fix the problems since BOTH side are RIGHT!! I...

    Bozo gets it

Yepper, It is the same with laws across the board. Everything is going to the enforcement side as opposed to the prevention side. Government is assuming guilt and looking for reasons to ticket/arrest etc. Partly due to falling tax revenues and mostly due to a very dangerous mindset of control...

    Bozo gets it

It is a very sad state of affairs in our industry for sure. The powers that be LOVE divided groups. They are easier to control. Sound like anything you have heard before? Divided groups? Like government mandated divisions, affimative action, protected groups etc etc etc. Pitting one against...

    Bozo gets it

You got that right Greg, we truckers, are our own worst enemies. We do NOT work together as a group. Most likely never will since the divides you see in the country in general are in this industry as well. We all want what WE want. We should, however, be able to work together on things like HOS...

    Fuel Economy Question

We have a M2 M112. I would NOT recogmend the M2 platform, go with a true class 8 truck. My engine, tranny, however is great. I have the MBE4000 450HP with a EatonFuller 10sp auto shift. I average 10.5mpg. My rear end ratio is 3:58. Lost of low end there when I need it and I am able to run low...

    The FECC suggestion/complaint box

That would help a lot. The internet is NOT the most reliable place for directions. Then again, neither is the secretary that gives you directions based on the way she goes to work. She somehow NEVER noticed that 12'10" low clearance 1/2 mile before you get to the plant!! LOL!!

Well, when I was in government service I DID work MOST holidays!! I had very few off during my career and when I did it was just because it was already my sheduled day off anyway. By the way, Easter and it's related days are NOT government holidays. Never have been.

    The FECC suggestion/complaint box

Ok, how about this: Today we ran a radmat load. We took the run yesterday. FedEx neglected to get the permits prior to pick-up even though they had a full 24 hours to get them. It cost us an hour waiting. When loads are booked they should insure all routing and permits right away. Don't wait...

Well Greg, we will just have to agree to dis-agree. S.E. Michigan has lost more than 99% of it's wetlands since it's pristine days and the remainder are in great danger of being drained for development. Migrating waterfowl are now starting to pass up the S.E. side of Michigan due to lack of...
