Cannon Balls! Did you know this?

Probably some Swedish well digger crawled out of a well and noted, "Goodness gracious Schnookems my aśś is so cold!"

    Staying warm this winter?

Diesel doesn't produce carbon monoxide like a gas burning engine does. If you drive a gasser you need a CO detector in the vehicle. If you drive a diesel it's not a bad idea to have one (I've had mine go off because of a car idling next to me) but it's not as much of a necessity. The way the...

China Hacks into White House computers

Right, ABC News sources and quotes the Free Beacon, who sources and quotes an unnamed and unverifiable official. And in any case it wasn't a hack. Spear fishing attacks happen to thousands of computer networks around the world ever day. There are several hundred going on right now as I type this.

Obama trying to stop Defense layoff notices

They really won't be breaking the law. Despite the spending cuts having a direct impact in defense spending, the cuts do not specify that existing defense contracts are to be cut. The Pentagon announced they have no plans to, and do not foresee, cutting any existing defense contracts, therefore...

Cannon Balls! Did you know this?

The reason that the reasons are unknown is because whoever made that up wasn't clever enough to also make up a reason. They weren't called Monkeys, brass or any other kind. Cannon balls were not stored on deck long term in the salt air and spray on the off chance that a warship moving at a...

Which, of course, is why people cannot therefore be born gay, because God doesn't make mistakes.

China Hacks into White House computers

It wasn't hacked, it was a spear phishing attack, which isn't even remotely like a hack. The attackers were not identified, and the attack occurred on an unclassified, unsecured computer network that is used for unsecured internet Web browsing and access. It was the American Free Beacon, who has...

Onion Article Picked Up as Fact

The Onion is a 100% satire site. It's like Mad Magazine. It's all made up. It doesn't even pretend to be true. As for trusted news sources, there is no single source that I'd trust 100%. One of the basic rules of journalism when sourcing a story is to get confirmation from at least two...

    More to it?

Witnesses in the area at the time of the shooting told NBC 7 San Diego they saw Alvarado slowly driving in reverse as the agent opened fire on her at least six times. "As the car was backing up the officer was in the street walking toward the car, and discharging,” recalled witness Prince...

    Reds!

Yeah. Two Wild Card teams. They play each other in a one game playoff game, and the winner of that game is the Wild Card, who then stays at home and plays the #1 seed (the division winner with the best overall record).

Well, after they get beat in the Wild Card game by Atlanta.

    Dot regulations

You mean the guy who thinks uShip is the way to become a pro on the PGA Tour? If you want to be a successful uShiper, then a cargo van & trailer may get you there. If you want to be a successful expediter, not gonna happen.

    Another deranged cop attacks

In Wyoming you are not required to inform law enforcement that you are carrying a weapon. Still, that's not the same thing as refusing to answer the question. When you answer the question, "Do you have any weapons?" with "I do not consent to any search," and then it turns out you have a weapon...

    Informed

You've been duped by a variant of Facebook prank (actually a variant of a false premise that was ignorantly posted to Facebook). For starters, Uniform Commercial Code sections 1-103 through 1-108 have nothing whatsoever to do with privacy or confidential information. It has to do with the laws...

    Dot regulations

The problem with the idea of a cargo van & trailer is that one doesn't need to try it and then fail to know it won't work. You don't have to have experience with such a setup to know the inherent problems of the setup, the logistics of dealing with it, and to know that some of the biggest...

Woman gets $81 ticket for parking car with windows down

Put a spare key in your wallet. I did that for years. A magnetic hide-a-key box is also a good option under the bumper somewhere. I also have a spare key in my pocket at all times for the Sprinter, mainly so I can quickly unlock the rear door in case I forget to unlock it at a pickup or...

    Those Blair Drivers

I don't know that it was ALL negative. Seemed like a relatively honest accounting. I will say that the GPS tracking being of no value to a driver is probably a little shortsighted. Knowing your location enables the carrier to find you loads.
