Generators Anyone using a portable power unit?

They can't be recharged while running down the road, at least not so as you can use the unit on a regular basis. They generally take about 24 hours to recharge when plugged into shore power. And that's after using to to jump the car. These portable power units are designed for short-term...

22 AH capacity, pulling enough amps for a 1500 Watt heater (125 amps), considering the Peukert Effect, it'll last roughly .07 hours (4 minutes 12 seconds) before it's deader'n a doornail. If it's only a 1200 Watt heater (100 amps), then it'll last .09 hours (5 minutes, 24 seconds). To run a...

Captain John Smith "He who shall not work, shall not eat."

No reference to Churchill ever saying that. But in a 1976 TV interview for "for Thames TV This Week", Margaret Thatcher said, "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them." The oft quoted...

The math strongly suggests otherwise, however. $71 billion annually in federal taxes, $1.2 billion in annual parsonage allowances, and an average of $26.2 billion in state property taxes. All told that's $98 billion a year. Not exactly a massive dent in an out-of-control budget, but it's...

    How many HATE this?

Actually, the c550 was top of the line when it came out. With updated firmware and maps, it's still as good or better than most units on the market. I've only with they I could input coordinates about the times in the last 6 or 7 years since I got it, and every one of those times has been well...

Illegal search, or stop by PD

The thing is, you really should feel threatened by such things, because these searches are far from the simple and mundane. Unless they have real, actual reasonable suspicion or probable cause that they can articulate, then it's a fishing expedition. I'm not so sure I'd be so trusting of an...

I got nothing. It's a javascript of some kind. I'd clear the browser cache, and then do a search on the computer for any *.js files and delete those, too. For sure get rid of the "scriptSH-inf" or "scriptSH.inf" file.
