Arkansas states a specific median width. One state, Virginia I think, doesn't require stopping from the opposite direction if the road is controlled access, otherwise you have to stop. New York requires everyone on both sides of a median to stop. Everybody else, the other side of the median...

    Apple Cider & Acid Reflux

I have to be very careful with intentionally ingesting vinegar. I already consume too much in the way of pickles, banana peppers, etc. Too much and it throws the bacteria balance out of whack. Excess gas and post nasal drip are my clues that I'm eating too much acid, especially vinegar.

    Apple Cider & Acid Reflux

I used to have acid reflux all the time. A large bottle of antacids was my best friend. As soon as I dramatically cut back the carbs, especially the processed junk carbs, no more acid reflux. Magic.

I have both. Getting ready to go pick up a load in a few minutes. And my hobby is presenting such statistics in a manner in which even the most ardent deluded liberal can understand them.

Well, no, it doesn't naturally increase everything else. It may increase raw numbers of things like crime, welfare recipients, and births, but it won't increase the crime rates or the birth rates, for example, nor will it increase the percentage of the population on welfare. Crime rates and...

    Blocking incoming phone calls

If you're with AT&T you can do that, but it'll cost you something like $5 per month. It's under Parental Controls on the AT&T Web site. With Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, there's no easy way to do it, but there are Blacklist apps that accomplish the same thing. I have a few numbers set to...

    Jihad charter schools

I saw that first thing, but I decided to not fall in and be a victim of the "Poisoning of the Well" quasi-ad hominem logical fallacy, where I dismissed out of hand what was in the piece solely because of who wrote it. So, rather than dismiss the piece as being ridiculously absurd fiction solely...

"When news broke of the Boston Marathon jihad bombings, several students defended the attack and expressed concern for the well-being not of the victims, but of the bombers." The author of the piece lost me right there. That dog don't hunt. It simply would not, could not, have happened...

"We" don't do anything. You can, if you want. I'll do what I want. You're confusing "civilized" and "Utopian." While civilized people do indeed have compassion for others, their hearts suffering the pain of what is hidden to the naked eye, they also don't play on people's heartstrings to...

    So much for STEM...

Parents and others have been pitching a hissy fit for years. Anthropological global warming and climate change is at best junk science, and is more akin to a religion than real, actual science. It's become even further complicated by the politicizing of the issue, where "science issues" are...

    Newbie Introduction & Seeking Advice

I would echo Rocketman's comments. If you lived in the Midwest it would be much easier to ease into the business, in stages, driving solo or team for a fleet owner to learn the business, and then move to your own truck. But in your situation, not only where you live but also having so many years...

I think it's pretty clear that these "large groups" aren't forcing condoms on anyone. So the objection to free condoms must be for some other reason. In any case, a lack of availability of condoms isn't going to cause teens to not have sex, any more than free, easily available condoms is going...

Thanks, I'll do my best. It's just that your post followed Cheri's and it looked like that's where your comments were directed. It would still be better if you didn't leave an indefinite pronoun like "it" dangling out there with no reference, leaving it up to people to read your mind. I still...

Today, facilities like those have names like CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid. Prior to 1972 it was illegal everywhere in the US for unmarried couples of any age to use any methods of contraception. The Supreme Court ruling in Eisenstadt v. Baird established the right of unmarried people to possess...
