    barry BOWS AGAIN

You are correct - I am absolutely not kidding .... although it appears that much of the point(s) that I am trying to make are getting missed. Hawk, I never said anything about not finishing the war with Japan - I merely commented on the specific manner that a single individual chose to end it...

    barry BOWS AGAIN

The above statement borders on near-imbecilic .... Let's see if I can go deep in the mind of the chef and understand the rather convoluted and perverse logic here: "One can only show respect .... if one has no problem going to war and killing and breaking things ....." Yeah ..... yeah...

BTW, just so it's perfectly clear and no one makes the utterly fatal mistake of misunderstanding why the parties mentioned above provided the funding that they did: It wasn't because these folks believed in the ideology of what they were funding - they didn't, and would likely consider any that...

    barry BOWS AGAIN

Bingo. No, that's actually not quite correct :D - that was the apparency - the PR job, the big lie - that it (what you are referring to) was in the national interest. What it was in actual fact, was self-interest, not so much on the part of the nation, but on the part of a small handful of...

Dropped Tuesday morning at 08:30 in Athens, TN and then went to the Walmart and went to bed. Picked up in Athens at 17:30 Tuesday evening. Just dropped a couple hours ago and am now at the J in Laredo ..... place looks like a ghost town .... only one van over at the TA (Panther I think)...

David, I believe they occur in both - since they both use the same tranny. However, my only experience is with my 5 cylinder. Perhaps piper1 or danthewolf can answer if they have experienced it as well.

Friends ? No .... subjugators, certainly. As to what we did as mentioned above, it's not really surprising in the light of what we did in terms of dropping of the bomb - when one sins, atonement is often sought ...... BTW, you seek to justify our (horrific) actions and condemn theirs ...

    barry BOWS AGAIN

Why invade at all ? Let's see: 1. It's a small island nation (roughly the size of Montana), with very limited natural resources (very little in the way of ores and petroleum), largely dependent on outside resources. 2. Near the end of the war it's navy and air force was largely destroyed...

What's your source ? Please, please tell me that it's not the author of the LA Time piece ..... or something else from the right-wing blogosphere .... I mean, you aware that the guy that wrote the LA Times piece was ..... Laura Bush's former press secretary ... right ? The agenda should have...

That certainly is what they attempt to teach in the history books .... but then the government is largely in control of education these days ...... and has been for some time ..... Mmmmm ..... Of course, it is certainly true that the Nation of the United States is not the same...

Herseth Sandlin's critics promise ‘payback time’

Exactly - don't agree with Cao on the merits - but it's hard to argue that on at least that one issue he isn't doing the job he was elected to do.

Yeah ...... after bombing two of their cities with nuclear weapons and killing 100's of thousands of civilians (the only nation on this planet ever to do so) it certainly does say something that they would continue to remain our friends ....... I rather doubt that many here in this country...

Entirely correct - got sucked in on thread myself in the last week, where something said in a post caught my eye and I responded .... I thought I had seen the screen name before but didn't remember or couldn't really place it. It appears (based on subsequent posts by that screen name) that I...

Eddie, Interesting point you raise above - I recently had a long load (1000+ miles) that was fairly heavy (near GVW), that I drove hard (70 mph, in mountainous terrain) After I unloaded, I noticed some very odd transmission behavior - two things: 1. On starting the vehicle up, and...

Why are general questions asked in carrier forums ?

Dunno about currently ... there was one guy (no longer around, actually banned I think) that still had access to my carriers forum after he had left. (Personally, I think restricting posting to carrier forums is about silly ......) Jack Berry: can you still post in the Bolt Forum ? Hopefully...

Not entirely certain, but I would imagine it does. The torque converter clutch is an Electronically Modulated Converter Clutch, and can be applied in various gears (2nd thru 5th) and with varying degrees of engagement. The torque converter clutch is never fully engaged - there is always some...
