    Hope for Youth?

I think that the Congress, by allowing these loopholes and tax breaks to allow companies to move manufacturing and services offshore to other countries, is literally an action which helps a foreign government or multiple governments seriously injure the parent nation (us), and is nothing more...

    Van Damme Volvo ad... frightning

Actually, no. One of the main points in the demonstration is the steering stability to deliver startling new control of the vehicle. Going in reverse you can steer like that with a trailer, but only if you have an incredibly steady hand at the wheel. He didn't do it without a net, so to speak...

    Fedex CC Settlement Pay Missing

For one, EO is not FedEx, so why you thought posting this question here would do any good, I have no idea. Two, it's impossible to notify a contractor of such a "major issue" when they "dont know why the money was not posted."

Sprinter 2500 GCWR DOT Motor Carrier

Which state? There might be a state where a CMV is defined as any vehicle hauling anything for compensation, but I'm not aware of any such state. Do not confuse "Commercial Vehicle" and "Commercial Motor Vehicle." "Commercial Vehicle" is simply any vehicle used in commerce and/or registered...

    Hope for Youth?

Well, in Cheri's defense, while it's not nearly as pathetic as she wants to make it out to be, the reality is that a US corporation's tax rate is largely dependent on their ability to hire a competent tax lobbyist. The US corporate tax rate is 35%, and jumps to 39.2% when state rates are taken...

    gvw rating

If you can pass that, why are you wanting you de-rate your vehicle to less-than 26,001 pounds? If your vehicle weighs, or has a GVW Rating of more than 10,000 pounds, it is a CMV. In order to drive a CMV you must have a valid DOT medical certificate.

    :( Holiday Greed

I used to be a district manager at Denny's. The two busiest days of the year, hands down, were Thanksgiving and Christmas. Whether it's a restaurant, gas station, convenience store or a big box store, as ziggi noted, if people don't go there on holidays then these places wouldn't be open.

    Hope for Youth?

Someone earlier in this thread expressed mild outrage that someone could lose their job and then have to take on two separate lower paying jobs in order to make the same money they were making with the one job. And the outrage was expressed as a question. The answer is, that's the reality if...

27 million people have visited the Web site. People came, they looked, they didn't like what they saw.

My start to finish in expediting

The average that a carrier pays to a truck is 62% of the line haul. The 38% the carrier keeps covers overhead, costs of obtaining the load, collections and other liabilities. The average all-in rate paid to cargo vans is in the 90 to 95 cent range. 62% of $1.50 is, ta-da, 93 cents. Clearly...

Associated Press Nov. 13, 2013 3:31 PM ET By RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR and LAURIE KELLMAN WASHINGTON (AP) — The administration says fewer than 27,000 people managed to enroll for health insurance last month in the 36 states relying on the problem-filled federal website for President Barack...

    gvw rating

You're too focused on CDL or not, and getting your vehicle down below 26,001 so that you don't have to have a CDL. However, CDL or not, if your vehicle is over 10,000 pounds you will need a valid medical card. And it's the same medical examination that you get when you have a CDL.

    Best Wifi

Well, all Android phones have open architecture, but if you mean the tinkering that carriers do with it, I know what you mean. Bloatware is easy enough to get rid of, even without rooting your phone. In that price range, the Nexus 5 is clearly the best phone you can buy, since nothing in that...

    Best Wifi

I use anywhere between 15 and 25 gigs a month, so keeping that unlimited plan is important to me. As for phones, if you're looking to miove to Verizon, I wouldn't delay it simply because they don't support the Nexus 5, since the Motorola Droid Maxx, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4...

    Hope for Youth?

It's hardly a conflict of interest. It's the exact opposite of a conflict, where people vote literally in their own interest. Land owners, business owners and the wealthy vote for candidates who promise them more of the same prosperity. People always vote for the candidates who promise what they...

I had the original Droid. Then I got the Droid Bionic when it came out in September 2011, when the unlimited plans were still in effect. So as long as I don't get a new discounted phone I can keep this plan. It's definitely cheaper to pay full price for a new phone than it is to get a couple...

    Avoid Deming, NM

I don't understand your WTH question. A DUI isn't a capital crime, but it is a crime. You're advocating a complete disregard, as Amonger notes, of a Constitutional protection of not being compelled to witness against oneself in order to balance the rights of others. If you can do that with one...
