Companies are allowed to pay anyone anything that they wish too. At they are in a free country. If the "workers" don't like the wages or conditions, they can leave. They are only entitled to the wage they agreed to for certain number of hours worked. That is how a free market works.

Many just don't care. Their freebies are FAR more important. What they DON'T understand is that 100% of their freebies are paid for by those who WORK, RUN BUSINESSES etc. Keep killing profits and jobs will continue to be lost AND the businesses that produce those jobs will go away as well.

I don't know if that will happen. I hunted all day with some bioligists and they did not express that concern
