Not many Dr's do. They always do at the VA. They like to "play" with things there. Lots of new trainee DR's and they provide them with stuff to learn on. No matter to me, it does not cost me any more either way. I see the same DR every time, but often have as "extra" one or two at the same time...

It does not take much sun to produce your needed Vitamin D. Mine was fine the last time I was checked and that was in early spring when the sun was not real strong yet. No need for supplements if you go outside often WITHOUT sunscreen. Not long enough to burn. Nature works when we let it.
